My Most Favourite Fantasy
Role Playing Games
Long way before the gaming consoles came out, I was into Dungeons & Dragons, the board game. When the Play Station One came out, (PSOne) one of the more early RPG’s was Gauntlet Legends, while that is okay, but had awkward camera angles and was quite hard to play and then suddenly this game came along that I immediately fell in love with.

The playable characters to choose from are quite good too. Ranging from: Warrior (Male), Amazon (Female), Assassin (Male), Thief (Female), Priest (Male), Priestess (Female)
(Dark Stone Characters)
It was a few years for when the Play Station 2 came along. (PS2) When the next generation of RPG games came out, my two personal best favourite ones out of what was available for the PS2, at the time are:
This game too had many characters, though I can’t remember these, not all of them. There was a Warrior, male and female, elf, male and female and the rest I have now since forgotten.
(Elf Character)
The game was so good that a sequel game followed. Champions: The Return.

The characters for the second game are all exactly the same, but they have additional spells that they did not have in the previous game. There was also an additional two new characters, a lizard like creature and a cat that you could change its fur to be that of a leopard etc.
(Cat Character of Champions: The Return.)
And lastly the Play Station 3 console came out. (PS3) And fantasy gaming had reached a whole new level in graphics etc. among other things. Only one game for the PS3, that is also available for most of the other gaming consoles, like the XBOX 360 for example, of which I use to play this particular game on.

(Sacred 2 Game Characters.)
Most note worthy out of all of the characters to choose from, is the Temple Guardian, he has a most fascinating back story, as well as the main over all story is fantastic too, as played out through the game in the main quest to either save Ancaria, the world in which Sacred 2 takes place in, or Rule It. Could all make for a prefect movie I feel, worthy of such movies like The Lord Of The Rings.
Now this game is said to be a prequel to Sacred (PC Only) I bought this once and played it for a little bit, but it’s a 2D game, not 3D like with Sacred 2. It’s my personal opinion however that I honestly do not see the connection to the two games, no matter what the official sacerd2wiki says about the origins of the whole game and how the two games are linked. All that I can say, is that Sacred 2 feels to me personally like a whole different game and hints at a history not told in both games or in the official site of the game. It’s strange how the Temple Guardians are far much older than the War Angels, with the one in the game you get to play being however, being a support character for online play with other online players.
Yet he has a far better back story than the other characters and there are very interesting devices situated throughout most of the towns, cities and a few inside some dungeons/caves. These devices are called T-Energy Consoles, the technology of them to me, I feel to be that of the Temple Guardians, even if they are not so in the official wiki website.
It’s no easy game to play, as it’s not a simple hack and slash RPG nor is it a simple Spell Casting Type of RPG. Sacred 2 is a fantastic balance where close combat, long ranged weapons and spell casting are all equally important and an integral part of the game play.
It has a skill and spell system unlike any other game that has come before it. Getting the skill set right is what I trying even now to crack. I have spent however, 8 long years trying to perfect the best Armour Modifications that works for all of the characters, although for me personally there are 3 out of the seven characters that aer weak, that I am yet to find a way to be able to play and be those characters in the game, successfully. There are even different types of what is called Character Builds.
This involves the same character/s but with different skill sets for each build. Making Sacred 2, truly not your typical standard RPG. The weaker characters if you are wondering are: The Inquisitor, The High Elf & The Seraphim.
I hope that you all liked and enjoyed my sharing of my favourite fantasy games.
