  Thanks! You can walk in these, but it’s difficult to do so for an extended length, or for very far. You need lots of sit down breaks. 😁 Or, plop down breaks!

How rigid are the crotch inserts and what are they made of.

Metal or plastic would have the maximum effect - cloth or foam not so much.

  They are somewhat ridged, you can’t really put your legs together. They are made with ridged foam. It will compress some, but it will want to go back to its original shape, and force your legs to stay apart. They do give more then, plastic or metal, and are a bit more comfortable to wear because of this. The ones I wore in the photos, have several pieces of foam through the crotch. I have one other pair of plastic pants, with ridged foam, but it has one solid piece of foam, that goes through the crotch.  
The bottom line on these is, it makes it very difficult to put, and keep your legs together, but because they do give, it’s not impossible to put your legs together. But, you won’t want to for long, and then you will give in to keeping them splayed out.

  I think I bought these from a German eBay seller, some years ago. Not sure if they are still available now? 
There have been pull on versions, I do have another pair like these that are pull ons. I’ve not seen any of them offed anywhere for sometime either. If I find anything, I will post info, or links.
