There was once a boy Called Tony, who loved video games, he was an 18 year old boy and studying at university, video game designing, it was a dream course A great and fantastic course, but surprisingly, Tony was not happy as you shall soon come to find out why. Tony was 5ft, which was rather small for a boy of his age, he was of slim build and he had girlish like head of hair, it was thick and very long, which he kept in a pony tail, his hair was blonde, his eyes were blue, his face was like a girls almost, except for when he was wearing glasses.
And he wore them nearly all the time to cover up the fact the looked like a girl so much, but he only really ever needed to wear them for reading and looking at monitor and TV screens. Tony could see perfectly well without his glasses. Tony had very little friends and no one hardly would make friends with him, which made Tony feel very sad. He lived in a one bedroom apartment, he did try once to live on campus, but he got made fun of and bullied too many times that he was asked to leave the entire campus.
So he was forced to live in an apartment and work on Weekends, to help pay towards his rent, he was lucky to get an apartment that included everything, even the bills, all he had to pay was the rent and it was not what he thought it would be, but the land lady was able to rent out the apartments that cheap as she was well off and she believed in helping out the young and needy.
Tony liked her, she was very kind and nice to him. She was 50 years old, with grey to white hair, blue eyes and stood no taller than Tony himself, she was a little chubby, but was lovely and a great person to know, she wore silver framed glasses, she had a walking stick and a dog called Bowser. It was a Bulldog, and not too pretty to look at, but Emily loved him. That was the name of Tony's land lady. Tony had, had a hard day at the Santa Monica Bay University of California.
The apartment was near by the Bay area, so that Tony did not have too far to walk and he worked at the Bay's main take away, Mc Donald's Serving at a till. The pay was good and at least he got a free Big Mac at every lunch time, so it was not all too bad. He arrived one day at his apartment, and he saw Emily walking her dog, as she always did so every time he got home from University. “Hello again Tony, how are you?”
“Tired.” Replied Tony, his mood seemed way down, which Emily had noticed immediately.
“That I can see, but it is more than tiredness, what is the matter dear?” Tony was grateful of Emile’s concern, but he knew she was an old woman and she would not understand his troubles, let alone agree with something he had been keeping secret from her. He tried at best to smile at Emily. “Thank you Emily, that is truly very sweet and kind of you, but I really could do with being alone, please?”
Tony, so did not want to offend or upset Emily in anyway. Emily gave him a hug, then a smile and replied. “I perfectly understand my dear boy. You need time alone. I shall see to it that you are not disturbed today.”
“Thank you Emily, that is so very kind of you.” Replied Tony with relief in his voice. “You are most welcome my dear.” Replied Emily warmly and she went on her way with her dog, Bowser.
Tony, hurriedly went into his apartment, closed and locked the front door behind him, the apartment was on the 1st floor and it even had a balcony overlooking the Bay area, which Tony really loved. He slumped down on his sofa in his living room, the bedroom was directly opposite it, with the bathroom facing head away from the bedroom, to the right and near to the living room was the kitchen. There was a hallway of sorts where that was part of the stair case that went down to the bottom and there was a bit of a landing, apart from that and the balcony, that was all that was to Tony's apartment.
But for Tony, it was more than he could ever hope to ask for, yet he still was not happy, as he lay out on his sofa, crying of all things. Tony cried and cried for what felt like hours and hours, until a sudden voice made him sit bolt upright. “Have no fear, for I am hear, shed no more tears my dear.” The voice had startled him, for had not Emily promised him that he would not be disturbed. At first, Tony thought it was Emily. “Emily, is that you?” It had to be Emily, she was the only one Tony knew that called him dear.
“No, my dear. It is not Emily.” Replied the voice. Tony looked all around him and saw, no one, nothing. Was he going mad? “No, you are not going mad my dear.” Said the mysterious voice very suddenly, as though it was reading his very mind. “Who are you? I can't see you.” Tony replied with fear in his voice. “You need not fear me my dear. For I am your Guardian, though I am not an Angel. But I am your guardian all the same.”
Suddenly there was a ball of blue light, it was a light move, a soft and gentle blue, then it became dark blue and then, in the blink of an eye, sat upon Tony's lap was a dark blue furred cat. It had around it's neck a shimmering encrusted jewelled cat collar around it's neck and it was the most shiny, sparkly, beautiful cat collar he had ever seen. The cat's eyes were a shimmering emerald green, Tom had never seen a cat look so blue.
Russian Blues are bluish grey in colour and they are the only cats Tony knew of or was aware of that had near blue fur, but dark blue! He was suer that there was no cat that had fur of that colour, ever. “What are you?” Asked Tony with fear and a touch of confusion in his voice. “Why I am a cat of course.” Replied the cat, and it's mouth moved in the way much any human move their mouths when they talk.
Tony knew that cat's don't talk, not in the same way humans do, they say meow. This cat spoke perfectly well. It had a sort of gentle purr behind it and the voice was female. That fact surprised Tony, who assumed the cat was male. “You're a female cat!” He gasped. The cat gave a light chuckle. Tony had no idea cats could laugh too, never mind talk. “Of course I am a female cat silly” Tony blinked, his mind trying to make sense of all of this. “I'm sorry, I....” The cat gave a gentle purr, in a manner in which to sooth him and reassure him.
“You assumed that I was a Tom cat. And there is no need for you to apologise. I know you better than you know your self Tony.” Tony blinked as he heard the cat say his name. “How, how do you know my name?” The cat gave another chuckle. “I just told you silly. And also the fact that I am your Guardian and Guardians know all manner of things.” Tony was still not sure if he was imagining things or not, one half of his mind was thinking he was dreaming, the other was curious, afraid, exited and bewildered all at the same time.
“But I am not in any danger! Not that I am aware of. What do I need guarding against?” Asked Tony, very timidly. The cat gave another one of her reassuring purrs. “Guardians are not just merely to protect, they guide, they watch, they sometimes even make wishes come true, but not always in the way one may think or expect them to do so. After all, Guardians are not Genies or Fairies for that matter. So naturally the way we Guardians is different, naturally.”
The cat gave a slight chuckle as she said those words. She was not making fun of Tony, it was a kind and gentle laugh and Tony was sure he would wake up any moment now, still thinking he was dreaming. “Ouch!” Tony suddenly yelped, as he looked at his had where the cat had suddenly scratched him. “Why did you do that for?” The cat gently kissed where she had scratched him, then spoke.
“It was only a little and gentle scratch my dear. And that was to prove to you, that I am no dream and that you are not in fact dreaming. I am real.” Tony looked down at his hand again and the scratch was gone. “I have no real wish to really hurt you Tony... Forgive me. I mean Tina....” Tony blinked and tried to back away from the cat, but she was on his lap. He suddenly looked very afraid of her, as though some great and terrible secret had been revealed and he felt ashamed of it's discovery.
Tears suddenly ran down his cheeks and Tony simply burst into tears. The cat gently rubbed her head against Tony's chest, she had sat up and then stood on her hind legs her paws pressing gently against his upper body where she had placed her head as near to his chest as possible. It was though she was trying to hold him and comfort him the way a human mother would comfort a child, only the mother would have the child's head against her own chest, so it could listen to her heart beat which would help to sooth the child as well as gently caressing the child's hair and holding it close in her arms.
“There is no need for you to cry sweetie. Nor feel any shame, it is not wrong to be a sissy, to have desires to wear pretty dresses etc...” Tony looked down at the cat as he tried to wipe the tears away from his eyes. “It... it's not!” The cat purred softly, almost as though cooing to him, in the way mothers coo to their babies, to gently sooth their worries, then the cat hummed, her voice was as beautiful humming as it was when she talked. As though almost trying to sing a lullaby.
“Don't cry Tony. Your secret is safe with me. I know your fears, how your heart aches so. For you to truly be that which others you do not wish to know, or see. You try to be what you aught not to be. It is time for you to let that go, holding it back is only hurting you so. I am here to help you be, truly.... And is to be the happy sissy girl you really should be.” The cat had sung to him, a most truly beautiful lullaby he had ever heard.
Tony began crying again. But the cat as much as she could do so, held him. Purring and gently rubbing her head against Tony's chest. “You have been Tony for far too long. It is time you began being Tina, for that is the real you.” Remarked the cat. “Oh I wish that could be true cat. I really do... But there is no place on this Earth where I can be truly me.” The cat gave a slight chuckle. “Please, do call me Tabby, it is short for Tabitha of course.” Tony simply looked astonished and blinked. “Are you sure that Tabby is your name?”
Tabby gave another slight chuckle. “Yes sweetie that is my name, and no it was not one I was named with by some human.” Tony looked a little upset. “I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect Tabby. I mean, you are so truly beautiful and by far the most prettiest cat I have ever seen. I thought you would also have a very pretty name to go with that.” Tabby purred with content. “Why thank you for such a lovely comment Tina. But is not Tabby a pretty name?”
“Oh, I'm sorry. I really meant no disrespect. Tabby is a lovely name, but that is not what I meant.”
Tony seemed really upset. Tabby purred soothingly. “I know what you meant. I do have another name, but one beyond human comprehension. It's...” Tabby began to utter odd, high pitched mewling sounds, which then settled into a lovely and almost harmonic singing lilt to it. Then it stopped, but Tony did not want it to stop. “Why did you stop for? I mean.... that was so utterly beautiful, the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.”
“Why thank you sweetie. That is most very kind of you. I stopped, because I have finished telling you my real name in my true tongue. Though there is no real human translation for it and I do like the name Tabitha, but I like Tabby for short, even better, it's just more cuter said that way.” Just then Tony giggled, Tabby purred and was happy to hear Tony laugh. “You should laugh more often Tina. You have a very lovely laugh. Anyway, as I have said, it is time for you to stop being Tony.”
“I wish I could Tabby, truly. I want that more than anything, but people here are so very cruel, Sissies are made fun of, sometimes even beaten up. There is little to few places where any sissy can go out in public and dress how they want and wish to. And not be badly mistreated etc. Most have to dress up in secret, behind closed and locked doors. I can't even do that, for my land lady and a nice one she is, visits from time to time at the most least moments I expect her to do so....”
“And you are afraid of her catching you wearing a pretty dress and everything?” Replied Tabby, in understanding Tony's predicament. “That's it exactly.” Replied Tony. So happy to have someone who understood him and his unfortunate dilemma. “She is an old lady and some, not all, but mostly old ladies are set in the ways of the old, you know, boys should be boys and girls are meant to be girls. That sort of thing!”
Tabby smiled and purred. “Oh I completely understand sweetie, that is why I am here. To give you this...” Tabby replied oddly, she disappeared suddenly from Tony's lap. Then just as suddenly, a strange pink object had appeared. It looked like to be some sort of a games console, only that it was unlike any other games console he had ever seen. The lid was engraved gold lettering and a pretty pattern of some kind on it.
There was gilding on the edges, a key pad of some kind, only there was various strange symbols on the keys, there was also the familiar analogue sticks and a Directional key pad for up, down, left and right. There was a good sized screen, and a few odd shaped buttons and a set of flashing lights. The gaming console was like a hand held, but it was the size of a Play Station 3. Tony looked at the console in utter amazement, but also confusion.
He looked to see where Tabby was and she was sat right next to him on his sofa, to his right. “A games console! It is truly the most and unusual gaming console I have ever seen, but I can't see how this can help me.” Tabby gave him a big smile, then chuckled, she was wide eyed and purred happily, then said. “Oh that is no ordinary gaming console you have there Tina. That one lets you become your very own avatar, or more to the point, you become the avatar or character if you prefer...”
“What do you mean Tabby?” Asked Tony in awe. “You simply switch on the gaming console, no need for batteries or to plug it in. It has a self contained power source.”
“Cool.” Remarked Tony, not meaning to interrupt Tabby. But she did not mind and giggled. “Yes and it is and it gets even more cooler. At the main screen there will be a menu, represented by images or symbols if you prefer. You touch the screen where that symbol is and you will be told more about that menu, if you like what you hear, you will be asked to select enter here. You touch where it says that and hey presto....”
Tabby made some funny gesture with her paws, it was funny to watch, Tony giggled. “What?” He asked excitedly. “You are transported into the video game world of your choosing, and dressed exactly the way you really wish to be. You can have hours and hours of adventures, or just fun play time. What ever you wish and best of all, no one will know that you are gone. By the time you want to return to this reality, just wish it in your mind and it will be as though you never left...”
“Oh...” Replied Tony, sounding slightly disappointed. “How will I then know for sure that everything I did had taken place at all?” Tabby smiled and purred reassuringly. “You select from the menu option, play back, there is no need for you to remember which adventure you had etc. The game console will automatically load up adventure or just your time of fun that you had in the game, everything you did will be played back and any new adventures etc.
Get played back first, and any ones you wish to see you have played previously, just think it in you mind, the play back menu will brig up the list of all your game plays if you will in the order of what was your very 1st adventure or play time, then the second one and so forth.”
“Wow, that is really so cool.” Remarked Tony excitedly. Tabby giggled. “Yes, very. However, this gift comes with a price, it is not your soul, it is not money even. The price is to tell your land lady the truth about you...” Tony looked as though he was going to start crying again. “But I told you...” Tabby gave another reassuring purr. “I know and heard what you have told me. But you are assuming that your land lady will be or is like all the other old ladies. Not all old ladies are exactly the same you know and that goes for sissies too, in fact, that applies to everyone.” Tabby replied.
“Oh.” Tony replied, not sure what to say. “Take a chance on telling her, if it all goes wrong, I shall be here for you. I am your Guardian after all. But that is the terms and conditions of my gift to you.”
Tony looked very sad. “Does it really have to be that way?” Tabby tried her best to comfort Tony. “Yes, Tina. Sweetie, the games console can make all of your fantasies come true, but only in the fantasy world which you can visit as often as you wish. But it is a tool to help you cope with reality, not to escape from it as such...”
Tabby paused for a moment, wanting to make sure she tells Tony everything, but in the right way. “You are very much part of this reality and sadly have to live in it. But that does not mean here in this reality you wont ever get the chance to be your true self, maybe not as often, it maybe as much as possible and where practicality can allow for such things. But you never know, you may get all tat you truly desire right here in this reality. But if you chose to be more part of the fantasy realms the games console can provide you with. Your Portal or gateway to that world, that reality. You may find your self, not to come back to the real world and never know of the possibilities that may lie here.”
Tony looked confused, both happy and sad. “What are you trying to tell me Tabby?” Tabby smiled and slightly chuckled one last time. “That you need to find out for your self, but only if you really want to Tina. Use my gift to you wisely.” Before Tony could say or do anything, Tabby suddenly became a ball of blue light which then disappeared. Left in Tony's lap was the strange and mysterious games console. Curious, Tony switched it on.
The screen flickered to life, there was images of a Fairy, A Princess, A Sissy Maid, a Cheerleader, a School Girl, a Baby Girl, all of the things Tony loved and wanted to be each of those things. However, these were all animé like, because Tony loved nothing more than animé, because the animé characters wore such pretty clothes, even far more prettier than most sissy types of dresses. Tony could hardly believe his eyes. He selected the Princess, suddenly, Tony felt something pulling him.
When he looked to see what it was, the menu screen on the special games console was gone, what now filled the entire screen was a swirling and rippling vortex, and to Tony's shock and horror, his right arm was half way gone, or half way sucked into that vortex. Tony tried to to pull away with fright. When he felt something soft and heard a gentle voice in his mind suddenly say to him. 'Relax, don't fight it, no harm shall come to you. You are being transported to your Fantasy Reality.'
It was the voice of Tabby, it was so very soothing that Tony's sudden panic of fear, was washed away, like a gentle tide or something had come over him and calmed his mind. The fears softly being ebbed away, soon, the rest of Tony was somehow being stretched and pulling into that swirling, rippling vortex. Tony was gone, all that was left behind in his room was that mysterious games console....
