Chapter 1
As Alex French drove home he thought to himself he had finally made it in life, at 34 he was now already retired after selling his software company for a cool five million dollars. Sure he had made alot of enemies along the way and cut a few corner's but what did it matter he got where he wanted and with his bank balance he had plenty of woman falling over him. As he pulled into his drive he started thinking about what excuse he would tell Lisa today, not that it really mattered after 12 years of marriage she still believed every excuse he told her, the poor cow still believed he was faithful to her, she really was stupid but he still did love her in his own way.
"Where have you been Alex, you know it's moving day I have had it all myself to do!" Lisa shouted as Alex walked in the now empty house. "Well I'm almost finished just those last couple of boxes for the moving company to pick up, all the rest is already in the new place.". Alex apologised explaining the golf club was busy and he had a wait to get started on the course. As usual Lisa seemed to accept the excuse, she looked too busy with the house moving anyway to bother much.
Alex was quickly hurried back out to the car so they could get started on the journey, Alex had only been to the new house once when they decided to buy it, he had left it all up to Lisa over these last 6 months to renovate and decorate it, she knew better about that side of things anyway. All Alex knew was it had cost him plenty, but Lisa insisted she wanted it to be a surprise for him after all as she said he had worked so hard, now it was time for him to get what he deserves from life.
As Lisa drove for the next hour, Alex wondered why he had agreed to the move in the first place. The new house was more rural and not close to the city lifestyle that he was used to. But Lisa had insisted that once the place had been remodeled he would settle into a new life there. As the thought cleared from his mind he realised that they had arrived. Lisa led Alex in and he had to say just from the initial impression in the front reception room she had done an amazing job. Before he could say anything, she insisted that he come into the dinning room as there was a big surprise there.
Excitedly Alex followed Lisa into the dinning room, the surprise seemed to be a bunch of written accounts, on closer inspection they were not any old accounts but from his old company. Just then it hit him as he looked up from the documents with his mouth wide open he caught the grin on Lisa's face. Immediately he felt he was going to be sick, his usual bravado and self confidence vanished as Lisa stepped forward and slapped him across the face.
