A local trans person named Tobi has recently come under the attack of the misguided religious right here for appearing in an artshow and not denying that they were trans. It is an artshow about tollerance for cripes sake!!! I am not kidding. Anyways I urge you to email Tobi and send words of love and support since there are a lot of people making life nasty for them at the moment. Dispite news storys saying they identify as female, their blog items seem to say that they do not have a strong preference either way, and they honestly give me a headache with their pronoun usage which comes from all self made pronouns...so ummm just try to avoid them in the mail would be my best advice. You'll notice I am not even venturing to say here in this post one way or the other when it comes to them. Anyways...again, before I get too far off the main point, if you have a free moment pls email them at the following email (which is listed on their blog site, but atm the links and stuff have been slightly altered to make it harder for the oppressors to view their info I think, while keeping it perfectly accessable to anyone who really, really wants to see it):

The people terrorizing this person are the EXACT SAME people who would have been terrorizing non-white people 50 years ago, they are hateful bigots who hate people in the name of love and protection. It's no surprise that since they cannot even be honest to themselves about how hateful they are, that they would use an artshow indended to promote tollerance, to promote their own intollerance.

This person is no longer a stranger, I knew them in school, as I suspected. They are a very good and gentle person. It sounds like I will be meeting with them later this week. They are getting your mails, but right now are not responding to many as something in their life has made them very busy for the next few days. Thank you though for your support.
Update: Female pronouns or gender neutral ones (don't ask me) should be used to avoid pitfalls ^_^
