Same here, BabyJessy. I love videogames but multiplayer will never be anything more than an optional extra for me. I like single player far more, kind of like how you'd never read a book with someone peering over your shoulder.

I'm also a gamer and I have worked at gamestop for over a year and a half.
L4d is amazing you can only get the full eperince of the game if you play online verus mode.

Sf4 is not very good compared to street fighter III : third strike. The changed alot of moves and added focus moves which can be combo'd and be cheap as anything it is really a party game.

Cs is cs. Nothing to say.

WoW lost it's touch after they nerfed everything.

As for other good games I highly recommend Little big planet for ps3, Oblivion xbox360 or pc, fallout 3 (( pretty much same as oblivion)), RE5 ((of course someone had to mention it. XP)).

inb4 double post.
My biggest beef with re5 is that u only have 9 ******* inventory spots on u and the chick and EVERTYHING takes up 1 ******* spot. Even ur armor takes up a spot [how does that even make sense >.>] THat and the horrible ai and the fact that there kinda falling back into the story from 1 [which frightens me to no end] ultimately make the game seem fail to me.

Wrath destroyed WoW, and most people knew it would, the dk class was imba as ****, and op classes became more op while everything else got nerfd lol. Shaman/lock pally/hunter shaman/hunter pally/dk top 2v2 on any bg. Ez mode comps. I just rly hope sc2 doesn't become what wraths was to WoW, they alreayd ahd talk about adding and auto mining function, have to wait and see i guess.

I'm currently playing Maple Story, it's an online 2d action game with rpg aspects to it (items, levels, skills, quests etc.). I am not a big fan of pc type games myself and it's a little different from everything that's currently out there as far as the free to play online type games.

I've been finding games within the past 6-7 years generally boring as they usually just focus completely on the graphics and barely on the story line, it's nice eye candy but usually nothing more, even the difficulty is kinda like just going through the motions.

It depends on the game. I still haven't done everything in Final Fantasy VIII or X and haven't completed XII because I WANT to do everything in it. I've discovered something new in Bioshock and Half-Life 2 every time I've played them and Fallout 3 is absolutely phenomenal, not least because it's single-player only. I agree that videogames are less difficult than they used to be but the answer to that doesn't lie online.

As far as I'm concerned, nothing ever changes in multiplayer. As a general rule, they offer nothing new or different from single-player modes. And ones that do (Call Of Duty's levels and upgrades, for example), it annoys me; there's nothing in, for example, Call Of Duty that couldn't be put in a skirmish mode and work just as well. WITHOUT having to listen to some 13-year-old moron who says the word "noob" too much cheer about how he "fragged" you, failing to mention that it was only because he spends every minute of every day playing the game and learning every part of every map. Aside from that though, after one game on each map in an online FPS, you might as well have done everything.

And thus, single player is better; no idiots. So the fact that so much emphasis is put on multiplayer nowadays is unbelievably annoying. And don't get me started on MMO games . . .

100% on x and x2 is just time consuming[thats not to say i didn't do it lol....]. My major drawback with the whole single player thing is even though there is more to do, its not that hard, even playing halo on legendary gets ez enough since the ai for most games is just lulz. I hated having to grind every ******* dress sphere for x2 and then only ever needing to use 1 to win.

This is going to sound weird, but i enjoy playing some games with 13 year old kids because if u excel in the game u can amaze some fans [as crazy as it sounds] Like for wow, a large chunk of the pvp community know my character [/flex epeen]. Sides i get a little feeling of joy whenever someone inspects me and congradulates me on my ratings, theres a little part of me that thinks "sweet, i didn't just waste the last year of my life"

I do agree with u on fps games, even cs 1.6 [**** source >.>] after u learn the maps it just comes down to having good teammates and ur overall reaction times. Nothing ever changes in multiplayer, but its still the best thing for a challenge XD

Oh Lord, I hate Halo . . .

I love Final Fantasy X-2 though and STILL don't have that darned Mascot Dress Sphere! I always end up doing something small and silly to get an "Episode Concluded" instead of "Episode Complete" by accident. I think I've done everything apart from that though . . .

But unless I've missed something, I don't play games for them to be difficult. I like a challenge, sure (I'm playing through all the Geneforge games at the moment and find them really difficult. Thank God for quicksaves), but I also don't think there's any point in doing something just because it's difficult (on single player OR multiplayer). That's kind of the problem I have with Achievements/Trophies too. Developers have started thinking they're a replacement for actual unlockables and they're not. They're just pointless pieces of nothing to fool the gamer into thinking they haven't wasted their time. Put it this way; if I got a Trophy for doing Resident Evil 4 on Professional difficulty instead of the PRL Gun (that's what it was called, right?), I wouldn't have bothered.

Yes! Of course. Girl gamers are the hottest thing, what about sissy gamers? Pretty hot too I should say :)

I played WoW (bleh, too addicting and pointless?), but I especially enjoyed a game called Neverwinter Nights where people create their own RPG worlds with their own rules, some people even created BDSM and Adult RPG worlds, but I only played the heavy role-playing ones (without the sex or BDSM part) where I could portray myself as a female. It's easy to be convincing when you get to pick how you look :)

I am a retro gamer. I mostly play the PC-FX, 3DO, Famicom with Disk System, SNES, PC-Engine, Virtual Boy, etc. I just adore 2-d games and rail shooters. I love LD games too. The newest system I have is a PSP, but only because they are a great portable emulator player.

I also do table top gaming and I LARPed for many years.

Gaming is wonderful!

No, a young girl's greatest fear overshadows all of those things.

Her greatest fear is to be alone.

I grew up playing Atari 1500, to me it's simply incredible
what we can do with games now, sure but I think all this emphasis
on graphics and gamerscore has taken the fun out of them.
I've tried but I can't seem to get into rpgs like Final Fantasy,
but I truly admire those who have the skill and patience to play them.
Racing and fighting games are my specialty.
Tedious, boring, repetitive? Sure but being able
to create a character in your standard wrestling game
equals a good time for me.

Shooting games are like this huge warehouse for online entertainment
and while I never really got into them, I have to admit, Halo 3
has some excellent design and imagery to please the eye.
Currently I'm playing Prince of Persia on my X-Box 360
I started it up just after beating Ghostbusters *giggles*
it's the only game I finished since Spider-Man 2.

I tried getting into the online scene with Soul Calibur 4
but every player I was set up just rocked me! lol :)
That's incentive enough to go play through Super Metroid
again in under 3 hours. So I think I'll stick to solo gaming for now.
Then again, there's always online Ghostbusting to be had... hmm... :)

Perhaps... I mean yeah, Jaguar and Lynx were truly sub-par systems
with less than a handful of decent games for the price tag
they were asking for! lol (I'm looking at you Jaguar)
But you know, I think every little, slight innovation in technology
helped pave the way for the awe-inspiring games we have now.

Oh and by the way I simply loved playing "Frostbite"
"Missile Command" and "Popeye" on the Atari :)
I can still remember their music...
Oh, "Cops & Robbers" and "Pitfall" were pretty cool too lol!

www.risingstuff.com is the BEST place hands down to get older games. I know the two owners and they really want to help the community, not get rich. There prices are often shockingly low. I would get a Core Grafx II system with some shooters and action games as well as F1 Circus and a few others and you will be having the time of your life.

for any import needs www.risingstuff.com

They know me as Missa there and do knot know I a child on the forums, so don't talk about sissykiss as who referred you if asked. Say "MissaFX" said to talk to them.

I'm more into railshooters like Rez where without having played it for months at a time I can still sometimes beat the whole game on the hardest setting without getting hit once. I also love 2-d ship shooters. The whole FPS thing is a bit later generation than most of what I play.
