Ok... I am a big sic-fi fan and in my random daydreams I made up 2 story concepts. Here goes: 1) a man with serious childhood trauma gets put in an insane asylum only to be subject to a new program. The program is to use micro-electrodes in the brain to redirect the flow of current in synapses and redirect the thought process and give him false memories and erase his old ones so that he essentially has a happy childhood. The only flaw in the program, the brain is so complex that the changes in the brain wiring create a massive chain effect on his psyche with often random results as chaos theory takes hold. As he breaks down mentally, his mind grasping for stability is only grounded in reality by pleasure and pain responses. Dazed, he escapes from the asylum and is mugged breaking his legs in the process. He is rushed to the hospital by an onlooker unaware of his mental status. In the hospital, he is put in diapers due to his inability to use the toilet by himself (cause his legs are broken) and he finally finds stability of mind after he is cared for by the nurse. Forming an emotional bond with her as his mother figure as the only thing keeping him sane he becomes entirely dependent on her. After she finds out about the program and its effects she returns him to the mental hospital to start a new career as his caretaker so that she can fulfill a promise she made when she became a nurse, never abandon a patient. (Partially inspired by The Terminal Man by Michael Crichton, and partially by Total Recall) 2) A young 20 year old sissy boy is sent to a mental hospital each night where he is hooked into a virtual reality program which allows him to explore any fantasies he wants and live out a normal life during the day. It does this by using electrical impulses to the brain along his normal sensory neural pathways. Unfortunately, the program has a glitch in it and reaches an infinite loop once he starts to suck on the pink pacifier with glitter (there are many different colors and styles). He does this, and the computer is unable to release him from the fantasy (he is reliving it over and over again) while power in the system is running out. If the power runs out while he is still in there, the computer will not be able to control how the ions in his axons and dendrites will flow and they will fly erratically around his brain resulting in seizures and permanent brain damage. Luckily, Dennis, the main programmer (named after Dennis Nerdy from Jurassic Park) figures out the problem and restarts the program while running an auxiliary program of pure whiteness to keep the erratic neural signal firing from occurring. This works, but they find that the sissy boy immediately after having to program restored suddenly ejects himself from the program. Upon being questioned, he reveals that during the period of no stimuli, his brain focused itself on processing information to the point where he realized that the entire purpose here was to hide his sissy self from the world when he should be able to express it however he wants to. With that he walks out and the story ends. These are rough outlines, but.... I might write them... tell me if you like them and If you do, I will write them.
