The following was posted to Facebook by a member of my real life circle of friends:

(xxxxxx) wrote: ...... On January 9th, a group of Pekin, Illinois bikers were riding west on I-74 when they saw a girl about to jump off the Murray Baker Bridge .
So they stopped.

George, their leader, a big burly man of 53, gets off his Harley, walks through a group of gawkers, past the State Trooper, and says, "What are you doing?"

She says, "I'm going to commit suicide."

While he didn't want to appear "sensitive," he didn't want to miss a be-a-legend opportunity either so he asked ... "Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a kiss?"

So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing and did just that ... and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss followed immediately by another one.

After they finished, George gets approval from his biker-buddies, the onlookers, and even the State Trooper, and says, "Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had Honey! That's a real talent you're wasting Sugar Shorts. You could be famous if you rode with me. Why are you committing suicide?"

"My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl."

It's still unclear whether she jumped or was pushed."

Hope y'all don't mind,

Prissie

One of the brothers who gave us the movies THE MATRIX, BOUND an the let's-not-talk-about-it SPEED RACER has just gone public with their new identity. No one seems to be making any jokes...and the media coverage was minimal...so...have we become more tolerant? or is that just in the realms of Hollywood?

I don't think the world is becoming more (or less) tolerant... in my experience body really cares that much abut what other people do..... everybody is just getting on with their own lives and haven't got the time or inclination to care about other people's issues....

I guess when such stories appear in the media we are more attuned to them so we perceive them to bigger than they are.... I was with my mates last night and I mentioned the story about Lana Wachowski and none of them were aware of it at all.... but they did say it was typical of me to pick up on the story!!!
