that is just horrible! of course it being back in the 70s it shouldnt surprise anyone all that much.

people really need to get over themselves. the only reason things like this happen is because people cant get it through there thick skulls that not every one has to fit into your little "normal" box.

I recall hearing something about a baby boy that I believe lost his genitalia in an accident. They decoded to raise him as a girl instead, and he was closely watched - they had plans behind the scenes to also see if sexual preference and gender identity is learned or inborn. As I recall, the person committed suicide at 17. Is this in any way related to what you are talking about?

He lived past seventeen and had a phalloplasty but I think he's killed himself since. If you're interested to learn more it was Dr. John Money who was in charge of that fiasco, searching his name should give you plenty to read.

Wow people are so mean nowadays. I hate to see stuff like this happen and feel very sorry for what they went through. I had a similar ridicule filled life and there was a dozen times were I almost killed myself too. luckly though i pushed through it and didn't end up like them. people just need to understand that "normal" is just ones view on the world, and everyone has different views. There a saying i read in "to kill a mocking bird" that i feel people should follow. Atticus tells scout that "you never really know a person until walk in there skin and get a feel for it".

Some of things that were done back then were very wrong but what matters more is that we say no to those who still want to beat the feminine out of those born male as well as challenging those psychologists who do not accept Transsexualism exists and advocate mind games to make those who say they are in male roles they don not feel comfortable in.
