My school had a started a similar rule when I was in school. One teacher agreed that the rule was to stop girls from wearing short shorts. And boys never wore the shorts t0o short. And she said maybe you guys should were skirts to protest but no one did.

I never really wore shorts so probably would have looked odd if I did it.

my school actually didnt care about shorts. if the shorts werent to short they didnt care. they had to come to ends of your finger tips and in some case an inch or two past that if the girl particularly short arms.

however i did protest something else about the dress code. all they guys had to tuck there shirts into the pants. i hated that. i refused to do it. i got sent to the office and suspended countless times for it. eventually i told them point blank "you can send me to ISS and suspend me and punish me all you want. i am NOT tucking my shirt in. it simply aint gonna happen."

in response to this ultimatum they suspended me for a week. i came back a week later and told them same thing again. apparently they got the message that time. the rule didnt change, but they stopped enforcing it. at the end of the year the assistant principal transfered to a different school. i laughed so hard.

He prob did feel good after awhile lol. I know on a hot day I wish I was in a nice cool summer dress. You can be in the most skimmpy shorts and still wouldn't be as cosy as that dress lol.
