Question about corset shopping

Wondering about a few things...just ordered a few accessories, etc (including breastforms). Obviously until the forms arrive, I don't have an accurate idea about a bust measurement beyond what my chest currently measures (ordered a couple cheap sports bras elsewhere that will hopefully at least stretch enough to allow a solid estimate).

That said, when ordering a corset - most likely below the bust only (http://www.sexyshoes.com/p-2725-92025-waist-cincher.aspx ) - if my waist is about 36, would I go ahead and order a 34?

I certainly need to tone my gut anyways...way out of shape and been too busy most of this fall to get some decent work-outs in. And now I have a bit more motivation!

These lovely people support all the features in Sissy Kiss to contribute to our community! So it would help so much if you could check them out, and say your from Sissy Kiss. Some even give discounts, or free gifts by mentioning it!

So start about 2 inches smaller than normal and [hopefully] work down from there. Makes sense. I'm still a little iffy on whether I'm measuring my waist at the correct spot (looked at sissyboutique measurements page) - just gotten a bit too much of a spare tire to make my waistline stand out as much as it used to :(

Sharon at Romantasy made all three of my corests, and I would never go back to an "off the rack corset" again! Give them a try, you will nt be sorry!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably go for something a little cheaper for starting though.

On a similar note though - thinking also about body stocking/shaping. Recommended to wear (in order) - underwear, shaper, corset, other clothing...? Or is that too much? Just curious.

Oh yea...wouldn't plan on doing this for too long at one time, but is there much risk of circulation issues if you haven't worn really tight clothing before - skin, etc?

Ok, looking for a little more advice here.

I'm looking at this item which looks very nice: http://www.victoriassecret.com/ss/Satellite?ProductID=1265342994212&pagename=vsdWrapper&simplename=clothing/shapewear - my problem is trying to figure out what size I need.

My waist right now is around a 36, but my hips are only about 41. I'd like to get some tone in my butt and thighs as well (separate piece from a cincher)...like I said above, need to lose weight anyways. Would I be better holding off with something like this till I lose some more around the waist anyways or is there an alternative type of item that might do the trick better (or just custom fit)?

Honestly, your best bet is to spend a little more to get a corset you can use for a long time. Like here - http://www.absolutecorsets.com/ they are very nice also.

Hello not to wave my flag but i sell corsets, steel bones, garters, brand new corsets.
So if you like just put a tap mesure around your waist and tell me what it reads, i sell mine with a 2 to 4 inch difference.
My prices are £30 for a underbust £35 of a overbust, i sell on ebay but im willing to do deals for fellow sisters who want a cheap good quality corset. My suplyer also does corsets uk and fairy goth mother:)
And i have a lovly 26" over bust in baby pink which may suit you nicely:)
