Yesterday I went to a restaurant where a munch was taking place. Unfortunately, I arrived there an hour late, so everyone was already at a table, eating, talking and having a great time. It just didn't feel right just joining them matter-of-factly. I left, too scared to introduce myself, and feel really bad that I didn't. Any advice on how to take a first step when it comes to meeting new people who share the same kink?

I know this sounds pretty cliche but your best option is to go and introduce yourself. It's not like they will reject you since you have the same interests. It's usually best to dive straight in.
