I finally got an offer to model as my real self, down in Cardiff Bay on a quiet (but by no means uninhabited) Sunday morning. It was scary... and wonderful.

What nice pictures. Is it the quality of the film that produces the squiggles, dots and small washouts or some other trick? I like the effect; your top too. The gloves look a perfect match; did they come w/the top?

All the textures and blemishes are due to the aged film itself. The gloves are just a cheap pair from a costume shop, while the top was a present from my partner, though they do go well. Thank you for the appreciation. :) It was a really amazing experience to appear that way in public and have my pictures taken, and I can't wait to do it again...

Thank you for sharing those pictures. Many of us in the transgender community, when we pose for pictures, hide our faces. Its nice you're willing to come out of the closet and into the open.

I intend to live permanently as a woman, so my face needs must be visible, and I must learn to love it better myself. I suspect a ton of electrolysis might help a bit... I only had thick foundation on that day. Great to get such a heartwarming response for it.

The black was the photographer's decision more than mine. He only works with vintage film and cameras. Thank you for the approval.

xxx More scary than the background was showing myself in my prettiest clothes for the population of Cardiff... but it really helped boost my confidence. It'll be lingerie shoots by the end of the year... possibly.

It was a scary thing to do at first, but that feeling quickly passed (which is good, since I intend to transition and can hardly spend the rest of my life in state of exhilerated terror...). Thank you for the wonderful appraisal.

...who, in spite of being an unpaid avant-garde filmmaker / photographer who does it all for the love, was kind enough to pay me £50 for the two shoots. That is £50 more than I earned as a "male" model. Just goes to show where I have been going wrong all these years.
