i grew up in tulsa oklahoma. so i was a southern girl. im curious why i never knew about debutante's till i was in my late 20's. mes finks mes would loved to be a debutante. still very crious abouts its was wondering if any ones knows more about its.

I don't think it a very common practice anymore but it usually when usually a upper class family presents her daughter as an adult to there friends and to show her off to potential suitors.

That class is probably for refining feminine traits and teaching new skills like ballroom dancing and etiquette. Also how to handle different type of clothing probably like practicing sitting in those pretty dresses.
