Chest Hair?
Possibly might start HRT soon and not sure about body hair

Hi. I have a question that I hope someone might have some one might be able to help me with. I am going to have Medical Insurance soon and was thinking about starting Hormone replacement therapy but am not sure what to do about Chest hair. I have researched and don't want you guys to think I am lazy and even asked many TG people but heard a bazillion answers and many that were the opposite of what others said so I'm not sure if this will be any better but i figured I have to try.

I have light skin dark hair and sorta hairy. I have chest and stomach hair and wanted to know what is needed and the best option to remove it. There is laser hair removal and electrolysis. I know electrolysis would work but I am just seeing if its needed or not since it would take forever on that large of an area and would be miserable on very sensitive areas if I do start HRT for long periods. I know laser hurts more but it is really fast and would seem more tolerable. Has anyone got laser hair removal on their body and does it work? I had it on my face awhile back then after awhile everything grew back and now I'm doing Electrolysis on my face. So I am sorta familiar with both practices but definitely not an expert. And if I do get laser not sure where to go since I would feel odd going back to somewhere where their laser treatments and what they told me were bogus.

thanks guys for reading this and any insight would be helpful

Well hun I've been there lazer works for a while. I had my face done spent a thousand dollars on it and it all grew back. I'm going with electrolosis. Its the only true medically proven method for hair removal (permanant)

Also check your polocy it may not cover srs hrt or any other elective med treatmens mine didn't. My hormones run about two forty a month. Any other questions pm me I transitioned once many years ago now I am starting again.

It was good for three months and as long as I was on hormones it stayed thin. As soon as I had to stop hormones full beard in a couple weeks. Your hair normally has three follics laser destroys only the active folical that's why every month you gou in after three visits only stragler hair should remain but it didn't work on me

Yeah I don't remember how much I paid but it wasnt permanent for my face either. I am thinking about using an epilator for the time being for my chest and other body hair then I guess down the road maybe when I don't have to go as often for electrolysis on my face I will get started on my chest. Thanks for the insight about checking about whether its covered by insurance. I would assume doctor visits and prescriptions would be covered just like normal, not sure why not. The plan does cover mental health too so even if its classified as something else I am hoping it would be covered.
