wait is it based on that one short myth about Artemis where a guy who was in the wrong part of the woods at the wrong time, happed upon her well she was bathing and was turned into a dreer for it?

Different guy. Artemis did enjoy inflicting metamorphoses, but Siproites definitely got off lightly considering the deer guy (who also got eaten alive by his own hounds).
