(Prelude)
Mirror, there is a baby girl in this man... that much I am
My thoughts surround hers, a rose in bloom I fear to grasp
The end of innocence has passed and she is all I have
Abounding over me, like a rainbow gleaming these frozen sands
Softly flowing, through my soul now sowing, it's colors stream.
( I )
Clothed in an elegant satin dress, I hear the trees and feel the breath
Of evening's mountain wind caress my painted cheeks
As a million doves fly over head, near the boiling rise of the ocean's crest
I sought rest near a cliff side against jaded pillars of stone
Lost to the depths of a twilight dream, half awake and half asleep
Angels came and brought me to a place my soul had never roamed
Asailing the glass castle's high estate, I saw beings of light robed in silk and shade
The castle shone like a candy treat and I pressed on accompanied
By two angels adorned in the brightest pink, my eyes were ever shown.
One was male of perfect descent, he bore great muscles and held a silver lance
Ink symbols of an ancient language were tattooed from his waist to his neck
The other now held my hand, a mysterious woman who wore diamond bands
Her true figure hidden from my view by a komoto and face cowl tightly strewn
We made our way towards an ominous room, a semblance great of Aztec ruins
Glass statues of women encircled me with smells of lavander and cinnamon root
From above the ceiling's sole opening, fairy dust magically streamed into bloom
Then I opened up my teary eyes, a moment of surprise silenced my cries late
In dresses of flowing ivory and lace, bearing golden crown and smiles great
Two heavenly ladies raised their hands and waves of water washed over me.
"See the baby girl in this man... mirrored by the pool in which he stands?"
"Shall we bring him to the Fountain, that he may drink of its gift?"
I overheard their whispering... "I would be honored to bow before such a spring"
Spoke I humbly without questioning the sensations pulsating in my being
"But if he be too eager, he may reverse the beauty stream with fear"
"Perhaps, but for what other reason could he have been brought here?"
"That my dear Pixie, you and I already know... he has found himself, make it so."
( II )
Looming rays of sunlight soon engulfed my view...
In a flash the celling disappeared as the walls began to fade
I heard birds singing in melodies so clear, then someone called my name
Beautifully they stood together and at last my soul knew...
Lavander and Cheerful Pixie motioned me to draw near with a wave
A marble fountain, carved to resemble an enormous rose, awaited me here
Upon a familiar cliff, whence it seemed a plentiful tree beckoned unto the sky
I cupped my tired hands in the cool stream and drank its soothing wine
The three of us, then drank together and sung of old days gone by
Gracefully swaying we shared a warming farewell hug...
Then instantly I became the little girl I knew I was.
Stirred awake by shivering winds, midnight came alone
Upon it's velvet slide with blackened throne
I conceded my sanctuary and proceeded home
Confident in my beauty, assured by others empathy
It is enough just to be happy with one's growth.
