This may sound corny, but I found the love of my life when I stopped looking. I simply started being myself and I talked to a girl that I wouldn't have searched for, but fell in love with quickly.
99% of your life is lived in your head. If you don't connect with someone mentally, nothing else will fill that gap.
There are definitely women who will accept you as you are. It's not easy, but it may not be as hard as you think. Be honest and tell them early on what you desire. There were no words more beautiful than the response I got from my girlfriend (now wife of 16 years), when I told her I liked to wear ladies clothing, and she responded with "I like girly men."

A mutual friend (female) introduced us, never expecting us to hit it off. She actually got somewhat jealous when we connected ... not fully understanding why we automatically got along so naturally.
I had been dating a tall, thin, black haired girl that was very active socially. When that didn't work out, our mutual friend didn't think that her shorter, plumper, blond haired recluse of a friend would be of interest to me, but she introduced us anyway. At first, I didn't think I would be interested either, but as we talked, it just went on and on from there and the rest is history.
