Barbara Harris the mother is divorced but kept her married name. Dave Harris was wealthy, he became wild and partied too much. Once Barbara found out Dave has girlfriends she got a lawyer. Under the circumstances Barbara got a divorce and is now wealthy. She is a normal size woman at 5’ 8” tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has long blond hair and blue eyes.
Patrick is the man of the family now even though he is quite small for his age. Dad’s recently moving out due to divorce was hard on the family. Dad often sided with Patrick on minor issues between the kids. They are all adults now and Patrick is only 4’ 2” tall. Patrick has blond hair down to his collar. He weighs only 60 pounds. A genetic defect left Patrick born a small male. He never grew to a normal size adult.
Denise is the older of the 2 sisters in the family. She has long black hair and brown eyes. Denise is 5’ 6” tall and weighs 120 pounds. Denise is the bossier of Patrick’s 2 sisters. She was in charge when the parents left.
Rachel is the younger sister who is a nicer girl and more feminine. Rachel is 5’ 4” tall with long brown hair and brown eyes. She is more petite and weighs 100 pounds. Rachel was nice to Patrick who was so small.
The family children are well behaved and get along nicely. This was true thru most of their childhood as well as adulthood. As adults about a year after the parent’s divorce none of them have left home. Denise and Rachel occasionally babysit for spending money. Patrick is still relying on his allowance and has a problem finding work he can do being so small.
Barbara the mother is wealthy enough she does not have to work. She has no problem paying the bills with alimony checks and a large savings. Barbara also owns the 4 bedroom, 2 bath home the family lives in. The females do all the cooking and cleaning the dishes. Each one contributes to the dusting and vacuuming. The females also do all the laundry and clean the bathrooms. Being small Patrick is rather spoiled for his age.
Patrick is too small to do yard work like lawn mowing. A man comes by to do that and edge. Patrick will pull weeds from the flower beds and sweep the sidewalks and porch. He is not lazy just small for an adult male. Patrick helps with the dusting and takes out the trash in the small waste baskets. He can’t reach the kitchen sink very well to do dishes. He has something to step on to reach the bathroom sink when needed.
The home is located in Lexington, Kentucky in the year 1990. It is April 15 during springtime. The weather is warm during the day and cooler at night. Winter is over with and so is the cold weather.
Chapter One: A year has gone by since the parents got divorced leaving Barbara the mother with the house and wealthy too. Dad ran off with one of his party girls and likely a few of her friends. He gladly left the children with their mother. Dave figured they are adults anyway and need to get jobs.
Today is Friday morning, the family is up and sitting at the breakfast table. Mother Barbara made eggs, bacon, and pancakes. They have a great meal with orange juice to drink. Each adult child makes their own bed and cleans their own room. Patrick manages to take care of his room. He has a low dresser and a twin bed. An end table with lamp is next to his bed.
Mother has the master bedroom with a double bed. She has a high dresser with a television on top. She has small table with a lamp on each side of her bed. The master bedroom has its own bathroom. Denise the oldest girl has her own room with a twin bed and high dresser. She has a table and lamp by the bed. Rachel’s room is furnished the same as her sisters.
The second bathroom is off the hallway on the same side as Patrick’s room. The girl’s bedrooms are on the other side of the hallway with moms at the end of the hallway. The home is clean and well furnished.
“Mom, I think we should do laundry today,” Denise suggested while they eat at the breakfast table.
“Good idea honey we all have clothes that need washing,” mom replied.
“My laundry basket is full if you want to wash my clothes.” Patrick said.
“I washed my clothes yesterday,” Rachel said, “My sheets need washing.”
“Do your sheets need washing Patrick?” Denise asked with a smile.
“Umm, no they do not need washing today,” Patrick replied nervously.
“I suggest we wash all the bed sheets today and clothing afterward,” Barbara suggested, “Are you sure your sheets are still clean Patrick?”
“Yes but I will put my laundry basket in the utility room where the washer and dryer are,” Patrick replied.
“The last time I washed your sheets a week ago they smelt like pee and had stains,” Denise stated in front of everyone.
“Have you started wetting the bed sweetie?” mom asked Patrick.
“Me? Wet the bed?” Patrick said, “no way, I am not a baby mom.”
Breakfast is finished and Rachel is picked to do the dishes and clean the kitchen. Denise and mother will strip the beds and wash all the sheets. Denise takes care of this in her room and Rachel’s room. She starts the first load of sheets in the washer. Mom takes Patrick to his room where the bed is neatly made. There is a faint odor of pee in his room, mom finds wet pajamas in the laundry basket.
“I thought you said you did not start wetting the bed,” mom said giving Patrick the eye, “then why are your pajamas wet?”
Feeling embarrassed Patrick does not answer. Barbara the mother pulls off the bedspread to find wet sheets are on Patrick’s bed. He actually made the bed wet in order to hide the fact he has accidents at night.
“You have been wetting the bed like a toddler,” mom stated, “You know we don’t lie about things around here.”
“Sorry mom, the bed wetting started a couple of weeks ago and I don’t know what is causing it,” Patrick admitted with a red face.
Mother strips the bed and puts the wet sheets in the laundry basket with the other dirty clothes. The basket is full and heavy so mom carries it to the laundry area in the utility room. She lets Denise know about the wet sheets and that she was correct about Patrick’s bed wetting.
“I can’t believe you made your bed after wetting it,” Denise said, “you are acting like a toddler and even lied about this.”
Rachel hears the commotion and makes sure she finds out what is going on. She goes to the laundry area and is filled in on Patrick’s problem. Rachel teases that the oldest child is the only one wetting the bed. She goes back to her kitchen chores.
“Finish the laundry please Denise,” mom said, “I am taking Patrick to Sears for a new twin bed mattress.” “His mattress is already ruined by wetting.”
“I think you better get him some diapers too,” Denise suggested smiling. “At least get a plastic mattress cover but that don’t keep the sheets dry.”
Mother Barbara is not happy about Patrick’s bed wetting. She is more upset about his denying this in front of everyone. She takes little Patrick by the hand and out to the minivan. They go directly to the Sears store in Lexington, Kentucky which takes about 15 minutes.
