(Note:  This is my first story in a very long time, but I've had this idea in my head for way too long.  And I've felt that I've lurked here long enough that I should at least give this a try.  There will be no sex in this story nor will there be any violence, but this isn't exactly sunshine and happiness.  All the characters have flaws and some slightly mean things happen to all of them, so I hope it still interests everybody.  Eventually, all 4 characters will go through changes that I think will make most people happy.  I left out some specific details because I didn't want to get caught up in the logistics of certain situations happening to them.  So, it's a realistic story set in a slightly fantasy world.

I was inspired by my favorite author, Cheryl Lynn, so there might be some of her elements in this story.  Also, Princess Pottypants is another big influence and the small girl is a character inspired her.  But, I could easily say that AusDpr's story 'Raising Very Naughty Children' was a basis for this story.  It's an abandoned story that I truly loved and inspired me to write this story.  So thank you to them and for all the authors that take the time and effort to create something and distribute it for free for all the world to see.

I am having some days off soon, so hopefully I will get to this very soon.  I just wanted to post the first chapter here to get some feedback.  I'll gladly continue if people enjoy it and I'll take any constructive criticism as well.

Chapter 1

Today should have been a great day for Heather.  She had graduated earlier in the week from college with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Early Childhood Education.  She was still young and had a beautiful look to her with the shiniest blond hair you could ever imagine, blue eyes that sparkled and an incredibly inviting smile.  However, Heather felt that her life wasnt going exactly to plan.  Her dream of getting married right after graduation never panned out.  All of the frat boys she dated turned out just to be immature boys and wouldnt give her the life that she deserved.  Also, she didnt land any self respecting job after graduation as she was now stuck living with her roommate from college.

Katherine, on the other hand, had just landed a great job right out of college.  Because of her accounting degree, she was pursued by many top companies and got to choose the one she wanted.  She chose a rather large firm where she would be left alone for most of the day and she could work her numbers.  See, unlike Heather who could woo anybody with a smile, Katherine had trouble getting people to respect her.  As a mousey brunette with dark brown eyes and not an eye for fashion, Katherine was mostly mistaken for somebody half her age.  In fact, that is exactly what happened when she and Heather met on the first day of college freshman year.

Heather truly thought her roommate was a grade school student as she looked down at the tiny girl.  However, after some explaining, Heather got the real story as Katherine was just a small girl waiting for a growth spurt that never seems to come.  After a week of watching Katherine struggle with everyday activities, Heathers large maternal aspect kicked into overdrive and she began taking care of Katherines every little need.  It got so bad that Heather would skip out on dates to take of Katherine and continued to this very day.  Even though Heather had no job, she still got up early to wake up Katherine, make her breakfast and even pick out her clothes for her.  By now, the act had grown weary on Heather and she wondered if Katherine would ever take care of herself.

It was after Heather showed Katherine to work that our story really begins.  After job searching in the morning, Heather decided to try another interest as she went around to the many different dating sites.  After trying all the normal ones, Heather found a profile that she had never seen before on a website she had never heard of.  His name was Dave; he was a handsome doctor who was looking to settle down for the long haul.  It was then that Heather noticed that she had stumbled upon a single parents dating website and saw that Dave had a son named William.  With a shrug of her shoulders, she messaged Dave and they set up a meeting for that evening.

Dave was older than Heather and felt rather apprehensive about going out with such a young girl.  His trepidation came to fruition when Heather met him at a hot dance club in seedy place downtown.  Heather was dressed in a sparkly dress that showed off all of her assets as Dave felt out of place in his Hawaiian shirt and jeans.  After one song, he excused himself and said that he had to go home to his son.  Dave felt completely out of place and wondered if dating was the right thing for him to be doing.

On the other hand, Heather was completely mortified.  Dave was everything she was looking for in a husband with his tall figure, tight muscles and dark hair.  As she went home and went to bed, she wondered if her life could go any further down.  She didnt know what to do and nothing in the world could make her feel better.  When she woke up the next morning and helped Katherine through the day, she needed something to help forget about last night.  So, the two girls decided to spend that day at the mall and do some shopping therapy.

Usually, going to the mall would be an enjoyable experience for Heather.  She and a group of friends would go to the trendiest shops in town, gush over the cute outfits and talk about their recent events with either their boyfriends or husbands.  As the only single girl, Heather would feel out casted and so she decided to bring Katherine.  However, Katherine brought along her own set of problems as she had no care in clothing and would constantly get lost in the crowded mall.  After losing the little girl one too many times, Heather grabbed her hand and pulled her along with her.  With some bags in one hand and Katherine in the other, Heather was exhausted by the time she left the mall.  However, she decided to leave at the exact right time as she heard her name being called behind her.

Heather!  Dave needed to do some shopping at the mall as well and was just about to leave when he spotted the familiar blond.  It was when he saw her tugging on a little girl that Dave suddenly saw Heather in a new light.  She wasnt some gold digging college girl, but a young mother trying to make it in the world on her own.  Heathers situation reminded Dave of his own circumstance and felt a need to give her a second chance.

Heather turned around to see Dave walking towards them.  Her eyes bugged out of her head as she thought that she would never see the dreamboat doctor ever again.  However, he was now walking towards her with a smile on his face as she nervously blew a piece of her fallen hair out of her face.

Its so nice to see you again, Heather.  Im sorry about last night, but I just felt so out of place there.  I mean, I was probably the oldest person there.  But, thats in the past and you never did tell me about your little angel here.  Whats her name?  Dave said to Heather as he bent down to look Katherine in the eye.  Dave was taller than Heather by a good head, so he was absolutely towering over little Katherine.

In that moment, everything clicked inside of Heather.  Dave didnt want a cute thing to have a wild romp with.  Dave wanted a mother for his son and a new family.  That is why he was embarrassed at the club last night and that is why he approached Heather at the mall.   Heather then remembered the website that they first met on.  It was for single parents and Dave had a son of his own.  She then saw that Dave thought Katherine was her daughter.  Realizing she couldnt let this opportunity slip from her hands, Heather quickly interjected before Katherine even had a chance to say a word.  Katie!  This is my daughter, Katie.  We were just doing some shopping today and Im so glad to have run into you.  Listen, Im sorry too about last night.  Its been so long since I have dated that I didnt know what to do.  Is there any way that I can make it up to you?

Katherines brown eyes became as large as saucers as she looked up to her best friend and this strange man that she had obviously seen last night.  She knew that Heather was upset, but Katherine couldnt believe that she would even talk to this man again.  What was more upsetting was the fact that she had suddenly become Heathers daughter and they werent even talking to her.  It got even worse as Daves large hand patted her on her head as he rose to his full length.  Pondering for a moment, Dave always believed in second chances and thought Heather had made an honest mistake.  Maybe this girl was just like him and that last night was just a big mistake.  So, with a charming smile to both girls, Dave nodded his head and made Heathers heart flutter.  Listen, tomorrow is my day with my son, William.  Why dont we meet at the park after lunch?  The kids can play together and we can get to know each other without the loud thumping music.

Heather was literally on cloud nine as Dave walked away.  She got her second date even though she had to do a little bit of lying to make it happen.  However, she was seeing Dave tomorrow and nothing was going to change her good mood.  Not even the scowl on Katherines face as they walked towards the car.  Heather said she would explain herself when they got back to the apartment as she hoped Katherines mood would change by the time they got home.  However, Katherine was still furious and was absolutely peeved about the whole situation.  As Heather watched her yell and scream in the car and then in their apartment, she no longer saw the young girl as her friend, but as her real daughter.  She was just throwing a temper tantrum and all the years of Heather taking care of Katherine boiled up and she couldnt take it anymore.

Listen here, young lady!  I am tired of taking care of you as I have been doing it ever since we first met.  I do everything for you and help make your life easier as you have just become lazier and lazier.  All I am asking is for you to do one thing to make me happy.  I really like this guy and I think this could lead somewhere.  So, would you please do this for me?

Katherine was pretty surprised by Heathers outburst.  Katherine couldnt help the fact that she was so small and that everything in life was much more difficult for her.  But, Heather was right and she had done a ton to help Katherine get through college and even to this day.  She did it without even asking and would usually do it with a little smile.  Yes, Katherine hated being treated like a child, but if that is what she had to do for Heather, then maybe she could help out her best friend.  With a shrug and a disgruntled maybe, Katherine went into her room and closed the door.

Chapter 2

Heather could not keep her mind off of Dave and the date they had planned the next day.  After trying to do anything else, she finally succumbed to her new found obsession and went to her computer.  She found the old portfolio of him from the dating site and using a couple of little tricks, she found some rather interesting information.  Dave had been married for a short while to a now very successful lawyer.  She was currently running her own firm and Heather found her to be a very stern woman.  She found many nanny postings asking for anybody to watch over Billy as he was obviously too much to handle for most of the young girls.  Heather began to realize and see how their marriage fell apart so quickly and how Billy began to become who he is today.  Both Dave and his ex worked long hours and Billy had nobody to really put him in his place.  Billy needed a firm hand and somebody to watch him over to help raise him properly.

Dave had been burned on love and he wondered if it was even worth it in the end.  Dave really is a shell of his former self and Heather quickly realized that he needed somebody to treat him like the King that he truly is.  She could easily build up his confidence again and teach him how to be a man once again.  Dave would be the center of her world and would fall head over heels in love with her.  She had learned from her previous mistake of moving too fast.  She would become exactly the type of girl that he wanted.  She would be patient, loving and move the relationship much slower that before.  This would take time for Heather to build what she wanted.  She had the pieces needed, but she had to mold every one of them into exactly what she wanted.  With a smile on her face, Heather began preparing tomorrows big day and the first change that needed to happen was with Kathryn and herself.

Kathryn had been thinking about the situation most of the night as she began to assess her relationship with Heather.  See, Kathryns parents werent around very much when she was younger as she had felt alone most of her life.  Later on, they had vanished all together and Kathryn then began to move from home to home.  Going to college and meeting Heather really was the prayer that she needed answered.  Heather was the first person to treat her like family and actually really begin to love her.  She was like a sister that she never knew and truly appreciated all the hard work that Heather did for her.  She was extremely reluctant about tomorrow, but she did want to lose the only family member she had left in her life.

The next morning, Heather was waking up Kathryn much earlier than normal.  Heather hadnt heard a word from Kathryn about the entire situation, so it was assumed that Kathryn had approved of todays activities.  However, all throughout the night, Kathryn had been having doubts about the entire idea.  Her nerves had gotten the best of her and she hardly slept the night before.  So, when Heather came in the next morning, she was almost like a zombie as she was awoken from her soft bed.  Heather quickly pounced on the slow moving girl and got her ready and dressed for the morning.  A simple tee shirt and jeans would be all she would need especially where they were going.  Heather had already planned out the day and they had to hurry if they were going to make it to the park at the agreed time.

Kathryn finally came awake just as they were pulling up to a rather extravagant and expensive looking shop.  Her blurry vision found the sign and saw at the bottom that they had arrived at a salon and spa.  Kathryn was about to ask what was going on when Heather spoke to her in that similar tone from yesterday.  This time, she wasnt yelling at her, but it had a hint of condescension and firmness that felt like Heather was Kathryns mother.

Good Morning Sunshine!  I hope you are ready for our big day today.  I have brought you here for a little makeover and as a thank you for doing this for me today.  You will finally get to see what it is like to be pampered and be treated like a princess.  Kathryn had never been to a salon nor a spa as she usually got her hair cut at some chain store.  So, a part of her was excited to try out this new experience as her body was sore from the hard work she put into her job the past week.  But, just as Kathryns excitement was growing, Heather reminded Kathryn the real reason they were here today.  For this to work, I need your total dedication and help.  So, my name is no longer Heather, but Mother and you are my little Katie.  I want you on your best behavior and to be just like the sweet little girl that you can be.  So, Katie, can you do that, just for me?

Heather looked at Kathryn with her bright blue eyes and sparkling smile as she begged her friend to play along with their ploy.  Heather wouldnt force her best friend to do anything she didnt like and this was a large leap of faith for her.  Kathryn was a little scared, but as she looked to her friend, she was reminded of the past years they spent together.  Kathryn remembered all of the little things Heather did for her and how safe she made her feel in such a large world.  How bad could it be just to help her this one time?  So, with a smile and a nod of her head, Kathryn spoke her words that she never thought shed ever say.  Yes, Mother!

A little bell was heard throughout the salon when the door opened to reveal a mother and a daughter.  Heather held Katies hand as they walked up to the counter and for the first time in a long time, Katie felt rather safe and protected.  An older woman appeared from behind a door and went up to the counter to greet the young pair.  She was wearing a pink smock, a pair of reading glasses and had slightly graying brown hair.  She was immediately friendly to the new customers as she bypassed the entire counter and greeted Heather in the customer area.

Heather!  Its so nice to finally see your face.  We are just about ready for you and your daughter.  I was so happy to get your phone call and the wonderful news.  With a warm and infectious smile, she greeted Heather with a gentle hug and then lowered herself to Katies height.  Almost instinctively, Katie gripped Heathers hand tighter and went closer to her new mother.  The salon owner did her best to quell the scared child as she shook the young girls hand.  Your mother tells me that you are tired of being a little tomboy!  She says that you finally want to be a little princess and we are here to help.  Just think of me as your fairy godmother.

Katies eyes went up to Heathers when she heard the tomboy mention.  Her fear was quickly rising as they were led back to a secluded area and a very large change room.  Katie wanted to get angry at Heather, but it was hard as the larger woman began removing all of her clothing.  Heather just reminded Katie of her promise and that everything would work out in the end.  Katie always felt self consciousness about her body and standing naked next to Heather made her feel even worse.  Heathers breasts were like large balloons compared to her little nubs and her womanly figure was even more prevalent compared to Katies stick like body.  She was very happy to put on the soft cotton robe and led out to the spa area.

The next few hours were a cavalcade of new experiences for Katie.  Heather had been to a salon many times in her life and really helped ease Katies fears from each new experience.  The steam bath was a bit too hot at the beginning, but her little body got used to the water and she began to relax more and more.  Katie had never felt this clean in her entire life as she truly felt that she could melt into a little puddle in the warm water.  After the bath, they were led to separate tables and were given massages by the two young women.  Heathers massage was a bit more intense as the young woman worked on Heathers longer limbs and body.  Katies massage was just a gentle rub as the masseuse didnt want to hurt the little girl.  However, all of the little knots and sore muscles quickly dissipated in the gentle hands of the young woman.  After the massage, they were then given a skin treatment and a facial.  Katies skin and face felt so open and clean as the moisturizer and ingredients were rubbed into her delicate skin.  Heather could see the affect of the spa visit have on Katie.  She was much more relaxed and all of the treatment was taking years off her body.  She began to shine in the light, smell like a fresh garden and get back her baby soft look.  With a smile on her face, Heather watched Katie loose many years of the aging process in a matter of moments.

With two fresh robes, Katie and Heather were led back to the salon area.  They were quickly greeted by the owner who had the largest smile on her face.  After making sure everything was up to their satisfaction, it was now time for the second part of their trip.  The owner took Katies hand and led her to her hair station.  Katie could see a small booster seat on the chair as she was picked up and placed on top of it.  A slight pink hue reached her cheeks as she was now the perfect height for the salon owner to work on her hair.  Completely ignoring the little girl, the owner began to prepare her for her salon treatment.  A satin pink cape was pulled around her neck and buttoned up behind her.  With a bit of fear in her eyes, Heather did her best to calm down her little girl.

Now, Katie, Mommy has to leave you here for a little bit.  However, I will be right next door and I know you are in safe hands.  You will look like the sweetest princess when you are done.  Heather had already told the owner what she wanted Katies hair to look like and Heather needed to get her hair done as well.  So, with a sweet kiss on her cheek, Heather left Katie in the shop owners hands.  Katies blush was even deeper after the kiss as she shifted on the booster seat.  She had no idea what was about to happen to her stringy, straight and dark colored brown hair, but she was certain that she would not even recognize herself.

To keep with the dramatic surprise, Katies back was turned towards the mirror so that she could not even get a glimpse of herself.  After getting her hair damp once more, the owner began snipping away and styling her long hair.  The owner began humming softly to Katie along with her giving updates about the process.  Katie watched as pieces of her brown hair began to fall on the cape in front of her.  The booster seat made her little feat hang in the middle of the air which only made her feel even shorter and higher up than she actually was.  After the trimming, the owner began to explain to Katie that she was going to put some solution in her hair and for her to close her eyes real tight.

After a while, Katie began to smell the heavy solution that was being spread onto her hair as her curiosity was getting the best of her.  However, the salon owner watched the young girls eyes very carefully and admonished her anytime she tried to sneak a peek.  In the other area, Heather was almost finished with her visit.  She only needed a small trim and a new manicure for her to be ready for her big date.  Her blonde hair now showed even brighter along with a slight curl to it as it cascaded down past her shoulders.  After Heather was finished, she paid for both her and her daughter along with sneaking out of the salon.  She went next door and picked up the clothes that had been waiting for her.  She had to do some shopping for both her and Katie to play up their parts.  Putting the packages back in their large changing area, she went to Katies spot just to see the owner finishing up her handiwork.

Katie was a bit startled to see somebody hold her hand, but she felt the suddenly familiar touch of Heathers large hand hold her securely.  She still had her eyes closed and was now a ball of nerves at wondering what happened to her.  Katies hair felt a bit lighter except for a bit that was against her forehead.  However, all of that vanished when the salon owner told Katie to open up her eyes and to look at the new princess.

All doubt of Heather and Katie being mother and daughter vanished when Katie opened up her eyes to see her reflection.  Her dark brown hair had been changed quite drastically to match the shiny blonde hair of her mothers.  As Katie inspected her hair, she was amazed at the transformation in front of her.  Her hair now reached to the tips of her shoulders and was the same bright and brassy blonde color as her mothers.  It took her a while to realize that besides a shorter length and a whole new color, Katie had bangs to boot.  All across her forehead were the bright yellow colored bangs that separated themselves from the longer hair that fell down the back of her head.  With the salon treatment earlier and the newly colored hairstyle, Katie hardly looked anything like her previous self.  She was a smaller image of her new mother and had lost several years in her life.  Heather immediately hugged her daughter and gave thanks to the owner who explained that she truly looked like a princess now.

Heather grabbed Katie from the chair and began leading her back to the large change room.  Inside, Katie noticed some new bags and she couldnt handle her frustration any longer.  However, Heather held tight to her hand and refused to let go as Katie talked to her mother.  Heather¦

What did I say before, young lady?  Your name is Katie and my name is mother.  Now, I know all of this seems new and scary to you.  But, this is just what we have to do to play up our part.  You truly look like my young daughter instead of just my best friend.  Now, I want you to look at me and tell me you did not enjoy yourself today.

Katie looked at her mother who had bent down to her height during the scolding.  Katie couldnt lie to Heather as the salon part was lovely.  She felt reenergized and cleaner than she ever felt before.  Turning to the side, she saw herself in the mirror.  She truly looked like a very young girl and would not be mistaken as a college graduate.  Katie then hung her head and admitted defeat.  I did enjoy myself today, mother.

See that wasnt so difficult.  And trust me when I say that you look so much cuter than before.  I can promise you that all of the boys will be chasing after you today.  Now, we need to get dressed and go to the park afterwards.  I want you to promise me that I wont be hearing any complaining at all today.  Heather spoke to Katie much more akin to a mother as she was really falling into her role.  She went to the bag and began putting on her new panty and bra.  The matching panty and bra were white with a soft red rose print on them.  They were much different from her usual thong panties as these were a bit fuller along with the bra as well.  Going back into the bag, she pulled out another pair of panties that were much smaller.

I promise mother.  Katie almost immediately regretted those words when she saw the pair of panties that Heather had in her hands.  While Heather had lace panties, Katies were completely cotton and had a small picture of Belle from ˜Beauty and the Beast on the front and a large picture of her on the back.  Katie was about to raise a protest until she saw Heather give a more glaring look.  With resignation on her face, Katie stepped into the panties as Heather pulled them up her little legs.  Katie was expecting them to be small, but when they went perfectly into place, she was in utter amazement.  The pink band around the top and the leg holes held them firmly in place as the super soft cotton hugged her little bottom.  The panty was actually a bit large on her as it covered her entire private area pleasantly well.  The panty gave a bit shiver to Katie as they were fitted in place.

Heather couldnt help but giggle as she looked at her daughter admiring herself in the mirror.  It also gave her ample time to pull out the rest of her outfit from their respective bags.  Calling Katie over, she began helping her daughter dress in more age appropriate clothing.  Over the panty came a pair soft gray legging that covered her panty and stopped at her shins.  Next was a multi-tiered skirt that went up her legs and settled right on her panties.  The waist band of her skirt was elastic, bright yellow and had a large yellow bow in the front.  The first tier of the skirt was white with yellow polka dots, the second tier was gray with small yellow dots and the third tier was all yellow and fell just a little above her knees.  Next, a white tee shirt was carefully pulled over her chest making sure to not mess up any hair on her head.  The shirt had little yellow dots all on it, two large bows that matched the skirt on the left side of the collar and a picture of Princess Belle holding a flower saying ˜Not just a pretty face with several other flowers around her.  Finally, a simple pair of socks along with bright white tennis shoes was put on her feet.  And the last piece of the masterpiece was a large yellow headband that went at the top of her bangs that had a large yellow bow on the side of it.

Now, I want you to go look at yourself in the mirror and tell me what you see.  Heather instructed her cute looking daughter as she went into the bag and got dressed herself.  Katie was in a state of shock as she looked at herself in the mirror.  If there was any doubt before, it was completely erased when saw herself for the very first time.  From the top of the bright blonde hair to the bottom of her small tennis shoes, Katie looked like the perfect little girl.  She was a bit feminine, but not overly so as her hands fiddled with the multiple layers of the skirt.  Finding clothes for her was a bit of challenge, but it appeared that she had been shopping in the wrong department.  These fit perfectly and were much prettier than anything she had ever worn.

By the time Katie had gotten over her new look, her eyes moved towards Heather as she saw the new dress that she was wearing.  Heather was now wearing a white dress with a print of soft red roses on it.  The dress zipped up the back, had lovely straps, hugged her midsection and then flared out gently in a pleated skirt that ended slightly below her knees.  With a simple pair of white flats, Heather finished her dressing and looked down at her daughter.  Katie was amazed at the differences between the two girls.  Heather looked like the epitome of a beautiful woman with her long legs, ample bosom and feminine figure that was only heightened by the dress.  Katies gaze went to the mirror and saw the young little girl staring back at her.  With the crisp bangs, princess shirt and little skirt, Katie looked like the picture of a perfect little girl.  Maybe Heather was right and Katie should just embrace her new role.  With a deep breath, Katie answered her new mother and reaffirmed herself as she spoke.  I see a little girl, Mother.

No.  You see a beautiful little girl that her Mother loves very much.  Heather bent down to wrap her long arms around her princess and gives her a sweet kiss on the cheek.  Katie was a bit shock by the show of affection, but the warm feeling inside of her quickly made the fear disappears instantaneously.  For the first time in a very long time, Katie felt loved and admired.  She felt safe in her mothers arms and it was becoming easier falling into the role of her daughter.  She wasnt exactly comfortable with the whole situation, but the lovely and nagging warm emotion kept quelling any trepidation she might have.  Heather could not stop smiling as she looked at the two of them in the mirror.  She knew that they looked like the perfect pair, but that was the easy part and it was only going to get more difficult.  So, with the intoxicating mixture of sweet and a little firm in her voice, Heather began to prepare Katie for the day ahead.

Now that we have the look down, we need to work on the other areas.  I have been very impressed with you today as you have acted just like a sweet little girl.  You are going to have many admirers that want to talk to you.  So, when we leave the shop today, I want you to thank the store owner properly.  In a matter of moments, Heather and Katie were walking to the front of the store.  Considering it was much later in the day, the shop had gotten much busier as some of the woman watched the mother and her daughter walk through the salon.  The store owner was finishing up a customer when she turned around to see Heather and Katie approaching.  The smile on her face could have lit up the room as she looked and talked to Heather.  After a short while that made Katie grip her mothers hand just a little bit tighter, the store owner bent down to address Katie.

There was a little princess under that tomboy.  You look absolutely adorable little Katie.  Is Belle your favorite princess?  The sweet lady was just amazed at how much they could transform a little girl in just a short amount of time.  At the beginning, she was a tomboy that didnt care about her appearance at all.  But now, the spa had subtracted years from her, she now smelt like the freshest of flowers, her bright blonde hair sparkled like sunlight and she was dressed much more appropriately for a young girl her age.  Katie looked at the sweet lady and felt her mothers gaze looking at her that she knew what was expected of her.

Yes, Maam!  Belle is so pretty and smart and always sees the good in people and loves everybody and is so beautiful.  Thank you for making me pretty.  The store owner said it was her pleasure and would welcome them back with open arms.  She even offered Katie a little lollipop that she opened and gave to her willing hand.  With a final smile, the new mother and daughter left the salon and went into their car.  Heather could not be prouder of her new daughter as they drove to the park.  She was on the right track of having her perfect daughter; she just now needed the perfect husband and son.  All of this would take some time, but Heather was now more than ready for this new challenge.

Chapter 3

Life had been going very well for Dave.  He had fulfilled his dream of becoming a successful doctor at a very large hospital.  He had married his college sweetheart who was now a very successful lawyer.  His son, William had just been born and they were the picture perfect family.  Now, Daves life has fallen apart and he is scrambling to pick up the pieces.

Like everything, it started very gradually as Dave and his wife had gotten busier at both of their jobs.  Dave was working long hours at the hospital and his ex was working longer hours at the law firm.  By the time they would get home in the evening, William was already in bed and their hired nanny had left them a quiet and empty house.  It was only during the weekends that the family spent time together and it felt cold hanging out with almost total strangers.  And that is when the problems really began to start.

William soon realized that the nanny had no authority over him.  So, when it came time for him to push his boundaries, the nanny never pushed back.  William basically ran the house over the nanny and the parents on the weekends.  Both Dave and his ex almost felt guilty for working such long hours that they didnt want to punish William during the small time that they had together.  So both parents did everything they could to please William.  Eventually he got whatever he wanted and could do anything that he wanted to do without any repercussions.  Of course, this only made the situation even worse until one day it all came to a halt.

Dave came home from work to find most of the furniture missing and a divorce request from his now ex wife.  In the coming weeks, Dave quickly became a single father with full custody of an out of control child.  His ex wanted nothing to do with him and very little with her own son.  She explained that her job took too much time and that is her one priority in life.  Dave was amazed to see the woman he loved forsake him and their son for a high paying law career.

The divorce hit Dave incredibly hard and it showed in his work.  Younger doctors began taking his shifts and getting more complex cases while he was left with the simple and repetitive tasks that he did years ago.  He started dressing and acting more unprofessional at work as he would mostly just wear old scrubs around the hospital.  The senior staff noticed his appearance, demeanor and less work load which made it easy for promotions to pass him by.  The one bright side was the fact that he was getting home earlier than usual, but that still did not help with William and his nannies.  The young girls would stay for about a week and then leave out of total frustration.  Dave would get mad at William, but he still couldnt find the heart to punish him.  So, the entire cycle repeated without any changes to the household.

It was during one of those nights of depression as he searched for a nanny that he found the single parents dating site.  Dave knew that he could not raise William by himself and the nanny situation wasnt helping one bit.  The scars of his ex were still warm, but he wasnt ready to give up on happiness.  He then created a profile in hopes of finding somebody who could help him and his son.  He was looking for salvation on this site and he had hoped that he had found it in Heather and Katie.  She had the most potential out of all of his dates, but he worried that she was too young and immature for him.  That is why he gave her a second chance in a different setting.  Going to the park would take them away from the noisy club and he could see what type of parent she is to her daughter.  Dave could find out if she is good mother material.

It was a beautiful late spring day as the sun was out and shining on the large park.  Many families had jumped at the chance of the good weather to take their children to the park, so it was a bit more crowded than normal.  Heather and Katie were sitting on a bench in front of a slightly crowded playground as they waited for Dave and William to appear.  Heather was giving tips and compliments to her daughter about the coming meeting.  Her words were filled with praise that made Katie feel really good about the situation.  However, there was also a hidden stern tone regarding her behavior that erased any doubts she may have.  As her new mother continued talking to her, Katie saw quite a number of heads in the playground look over to her.  The young and judging eyes would stare a bit too long as they wondered about the girl and her mother.  After sitting on the bench and not moving, she was quickly labeled a mamas girl and completely ignored as the children went back to playing.  Heather also felt a certain number of eyes from the parents as they looked at her and Katie.  It was apparently obvious that Heather and Katie were the best and most formally dressed people in the park.  This was actually a point that Heather wanted to make to Dave to show that she really was better than any other girl he had met before.

As Heather and Katie waited patiently on the bench, Dave was already on his last straw as they got out of their expensive luxury car.  He could not find any of his nice clothes being clean this morning, so he was wearing an old pair of jeans and a tattered college tee shirt.  Getting William dressed was a whole different story as he threw a large fit at what clothing he wore today.  Dave succumbed to his son and allowed him to wear his Spiderman briefs along with a long sleeve blue tee shirt that was underneath a short sleeve black tee shirt that had a large picture of Spiderman on the front.  A pair of black jean shorts, socks and expensive tennis shoes completed his outfit as they walked the path to the playground.

Walk would be a kind word as William almost ran in front of his father.  He veered off the path into the playground for a few steps before Dave caught up to him and forcefully grabbed his hand.  He then explained the situation again and explained that play time would be later, but they first had two nice people to meet.  The sudden commotion caused the two women to turn their head as Heathers heart went a flutter at the approaching man and his son.  Dave looked even better than the last time she saw him as the sun brought out all of his best features.  Heather quickly grabbed her daughters hand as they stood next to the bench and waited for the two men to come closer to them.

However, her perfect diamond had some roughness to him as they were now right next to each other.  Dave looked exhausted already and his tattered clothing along with disheveled appearance showed that he no longer cared and was just exasperated of the entire situation.  Katies blush reappeared as she felt entirely uneasy about the situation.  All the other children looked at her strange because of her girly and overdressed appearance.  So, she gripped her mothers hand even tighter and tried to hide against her mothers dress.  However, the truly embarrassing part of the situation was the realization just how small she truly was.  Dave was a very tall guy and William inherited almost all of his genes.  He was very tall for his age, a bit lanky and had the same dark hair on his head.  Katie suddenly realized that in outwardly appearances, she was the younger of the two children.  Dave looked at the exquisitely dressed young lady in front of him as he became embarrassed of his appearance.  Heather looked like an old movie star and Dave did not feel worthy of being in her presence.  But, she was there for him and Dave had to do whatever possible to make this angel fall for him.

I am sorry we are so late, but it has been a very hectic morning.  I hope you didnt have to wait long.  And I liked to introduce my son, William.  Dave was holding Williams hand as he forced the young boy to stand next to him.  Williams gaze went from Heather and then to Katie for only the shortest of seconds.  He was a typical young boy and girls meant absolutely nothing to him.  He especially disliked little prissy girls as they were not cool enough for him.  He did no indication to greet the two young ladies as his gaze did not leave the playground.  A slightly audible sigh came from Dave as he looked from William to Heather.  Why dont we let them play and we can talk on the bench?

I dont want to play with a stupid girl!  Three pairs of eyes went to stare at William with three very unique reactions as he almost yelled his disgust at the idea of playing with the prissy girl standing in front of him.  Daves anger peaked as he wanted to yell at his own son, but that quickly failed to surface as he was resigned to defeat.  Katies fear almost got the best of her as she prevented the tears from rising in her eyes.  Hurt from his words, Katie buried her face in her mothers dress and desperately wanted to run back home.  Heather felt a sudden pang in her heart that was a new emotion for her.  How dare this little ruffian call her little princess stupid?  She instinctively became protective of little Katie as she realized that her work was going to be harder than she ever imagined.  Dave was like an injured bird and William was completely out of hand.  Waiting a few seconds for his father to do anything, Heather realized that she had to take matters into her own hands.  Bending down, she looked William in his eyes to begin to fix the situation.

Now, Billy, you shouldnt say hurtful things to people you just met.  That wasnt a very nice thing for you to say and I know you hurt Katies feelings.  Look how scared she is of you when she was just telling me how she wanted to be friends with you.  I think you need to apologize to her and I think you owe me a favor.  See, Katie has never been to this park before and she is a little afraid of going to the playground.  I think if she has a strong gentleman to help and protect her, she would feel a lot safer.  So, why dont you watch over her and show her around the playground?  Can you do that for me, little man?

Billy didnt know who this strange woman was and why she was talking to him like that.  But, for the first time in a very long time, he did feel bad for his words as the little girl was close to tears as she hid from the mean young boy.  Because he is an only child, Billy has never had the feeling of protecting someone smaller than him.  He couldnt help but feel proud at the idea of wanting to help this little girl.  In his mind, he would be like a superhero or a knight that saved the princess from all the evil in the world.  So, Billy looked to the young girl who was actually kind of cute in his eyes and spoke in a tone that absolutely floored his father as he offered his hand to the cute girl.  I am sorry Katie for calling you stupid.  Do you want to play in the playground together?

Billy led Katie almost running to play on the playground.  The other children had watched the entire situation as they looked at the boy and the girl play together.  The other kids thought that they were a bit strange and so they mostly stayed away from them as they went exploring every nook of the playground.  At first, Katie didnt want to do this at all, but her grown up side gave way to the child wanting to explode from inside of her heart.  She never remembered playing in a park as a young girl, so she truly felt like a little child as Billy showed her around.  Billy on the other hand stopped at every little thing and told Katie all about it before he would first try them.  He climbed the stairs of the slide and instructed Katie to watch her step and follow him closely before he slid down with her in tow.  Each obstacle became a new challenge for the young children as Billy began to feel prouder and prouder.  He was almost gleaming with pride as he crossed the monkey bars and Katie fell to the ground below.  After helping her up, they moved onto the swings as the two of them started laughing and playing like real children.

Dave had thought a miracle had happened as he watched his son and his new friend run all over the playground.  The only time he had been this happy was when he was playing one of his violent video games.  He was amazed that his little ruffian could behave like a normal child in just a matter of moments.  He turned towards Heather as she was now the angel in his eyes.  The two adults went to the park bench and began talking about their lives.  Dave told Heather all of the information that she already knew about him.  Her questions and responses had already been planned as she expressed sympathy for Dave and his situation.  Dave talks about Billy and his behavior along with the exasperation he feels at trying to raise him by himself.  He feels lost as a parent as he exclaimed how well behaved Katie appeared to him.

Heather listened attentively and spoke gently towards Dave.  When discussing her daughter, she used a concocted story of Katies father dying in the military overseas.  Heather talks fondly of her late husband and how she misses being a family.  She tells Dave of outings they would go together and how Katie has been incredibly shy ever since her father passed away.  Heather and Katie had just felt so alone and how they wished to find somebody to make a new family.  Heather could tell that Dave was feeling bad for her and her story as that is exactly what she wanted him to feel.  Dave and Billy were the perfect fit for Heather and Katie, but Dave just needed to see that first.

The conversation had turned more jovial after each had explained their past.  Dave was talking about his job and his career now as Heather was drawn into every word.  She was incredibly interested in his work and wanted to hear all that he had to say.  Dave hadnt felt this proud in ages as Heather made him feel like his work mattered.  Her compliments finally boosted a sense of pride in himself that had been killed off in the divorce.  Dave felt the sunshine and the warmth for the first time in a long time and it was all thanks to Heather.

However, after a while, Heather turned her eyes towards the playground and noticed something was amiss.  At the very side of the playground was a little sandbox and Heather noticed her lovely daughter playing by herself.  Quickly scanning the playground, she noticed Billy playing with a group of older boys as they were now yelling and screaming along with throwing things at one another.  Unbeknownst to Heather, the boys had asked William to play with them and to leave the girl behind.  William quickly joined the boys and began playing roughly with them before he ran over to the two parents.  Dad.  Dad.  Dad.  Dad.  I want to go home and play with my iPad.  Come on Dad.  Lets go!!

Heather shook the apology away as William took his father away from Heather.  She watched the father and son walk away as she got up and went over towards her daughter.  Smiling down at her and kissing the top of her head, Heather grabbed Katies hand as they walked towards the car.  Once it was just the two of them, Katie could not stop babbling about Billy and all the fun they had.  Heather laughed as Katie could hardly take a breath as she exclaimed how fun it was to ride down the slide and that she was so close of completing the monkey bars.  Heather found out about the true story of Billy and why he left Katie all by herself.  A smile crossed Heathers lips as she now had the hope that she was looking for.  Katie was becoming more and more like her daughter.  Dave was not completely broken and she could easily fix him.  The same with Billy, but she knew he might be a bit more difficult.  However, Heather knew that she had to change as well and she wondered if she could do it as well.  It would be difficult, but she knew that she could do it.  It would just take a little time.

Chapter 4

The loud buzzing sound awoke Katie from her dream as she looked over to her alarm.  Her eyes fluttered awake as she rubbed the sleep from them to realize that it was Monday morning.  A part of her wondered if yesterday was just a dream, but when she saw the shimmering blonde hair in the mirror, she knew that it wasnt a dream at all.  After they left the park, Heather and Katie went out to eat and watched a Disney movie later that night.  The last thing Katie remembered was falling asleep in her mothers arms as the movie was still playing in front of them.  Katie had never felt that much love and affection in her entire life as she was just beaming in the memories.  As she pulled opened her bedroom door, Katie was ready to see her mother once again.

However, today was very different as Heather was nowhere to be found.  Kathryn found a note saying that Heather would be busy all this week and that Kathryn would be all on her own.  Kathryn let out a little sigh, but she soon remembered that she wasnt a little girl.  She was a young woman who had a job to get too.  After eating some cold cereal and getting dressed, Kathryn went to work and sat down at her desk.  Her new hair color and style caused a minor tidbit of information that morning.  The men in the office seemed to notice her more, but they just assumed that she must be one of those hipsters with that hair style.  The women in the office wondered why she would pick such a juvenile style, but both genders stopped talking about her when another gossip story hit the office.

True to her word, Heather was hardly around during the week.  Every morning, Kathryn would wake up alone.  Every day, Kathryn would do her work alone.  Every evening, Kathryn would come home to an empty place.  Sometimes, Kathryn would hear Heather come into the apartment, but she almost immediately went into her bedroom and ignored her without even saying a word.  Later that week, Kathryn was getting very lonely as she stared at her unfinished work on her desk.  Her mind kept drifting back to the previous weekend and the lovely time she spent with her mother.  She remembered feeling more beautiful and more loved than ever before.  Kathryn tried to escape her loneliness and depression, but it kept coming back.  It was a ghost that refused to leave her as she almost knocked on Heathers door one evening.  Thankfully, that weekend, Heather walked into Kathryns bedroom to see her feeling depressed.  Without even a second of thought, Katie threw back the sheets and went to hug her mother.  Heather than began to explain where she was during the week and the plans they have for tomorrow.

Heathers plan called for a ton of work and she felt a little guilty at manipulating these people, but she knew that this was all for the best.  Eventually, they would all see that their new lives were better than their old ones and that she was right all along.  Heather couldnt force Katie to be her daughter all of the time.  Katie had to want to be her daughter, so Heather gave Katie the opportunity to be a grown up.  She was busy, but she purposely ignored her during the week as she wanted Katie to see how empty the world could be.  As she hugged her daughter tighter against her, Heather knew that Katie was here to stay and that she wouldnt have to force her to do anything anymore.

Most of the focus this past week was on Dave.  Heather had gotten all of the information she needed as she put her plan into action on Monday.  Once Katie was gone, Heather got up and got ready for the most important part of her plan.  She dressed in another dress like the one on Sunday and began preparing a meal in the kitchen.  Heather made a homemade sandwich, a fresh salad and even some warm smelling cookies.  She put them all in a bag and went to Daves hospital.  As she parked her car, she realized that her entire plan could blow up in her face if she was wrong about his reaction.  He could never want to see her again and it could be over before it even started.  However, as Heather finally found Daves office and she knocked on his door, she got the exact reaction she was expecting.

Dave was in the middle of some tedious paperwork when he heard a soft knock on his open door.  Standing in the doorway was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen and she was here to see him.  After explaining that she didnt want him to eat another vending machine lunch and that she wanted to thank him for yesterday, Heather decided to surprise him with a homemade lunch.  Dave was absolutely flabbergasted as he took the lunch and led Heather to the large lunch room.

While walking the halls, Dave was amazed at all of the looks from the young doctors and nurses as they gazed at Heather and then Dave.  They were all amazed and shocked to see Dave walking with such a beautiful young woman.  And this woman had only eyes for him as she was completely oblivious to anybody else around them.  Dave ate the warm lunch with such vigor as it was the best tasting meal he had in a very long time.  He could tell that it was homemade and that it was made with such care.  Heather followed every word that Dave said as she watched him with a wide eyed innocence.  He was her world and she wanted to digest every word that he spoke.  Afterwards, Dave thanked Heather for the surprise visit and said that he hoped to do this once again.  Heather nodded and it quickly became a tradition.

Every day, Heather would show up immaculately dressed in a new feminine dress with a handmade lunch for Dave to have.  They continued talking and Dave even took Heather on a visit of his hospital.  As the days went by, Heather began dropping subtle hints as she slowly changed Dave in new ways.  She gave him advice about raising Billy and she always loved to hear him come back the next day saying how well the treatment work.  Dave was now beginning to stand up to Billy as he set up boundaries for his son.  He began taking away items that he loved to play with him and to even punish him sometimes.  Slowly, Billy was becoming easier to handle and was making Daves life much easier.

By the end of the week, Daves confidence was beginning to increase.  Heather was not making any advancement towards him as she was waiting patiently.  He suddenly realized that he had to do his best to keep her around him and that he had to pick himself up.  Heather could not contain the excitement she felt for him when he finally held a door open for her.  Heather was overjoyed with the progress and knew that it was time to capitalize.

David wanted to spend more time alone with Heather, but that was becoming more difficult.  He only saw her during his lunch breaks which were the highlight of his day.  Her subtle touches and gentle nudging was making him fall deeper for this young woman.  He had to see her outside of the lunch breaks, but their respective children were becoming a slight problem.  Billy was always home when he got off work and he was making such good progress that he didnt want to interrupt it.  It was then he realized that the four of them could have another outing together.  So, with a giant smile on his face, David invited Heather and Katie to a matinee during the weekend.

Heather was truly afraid of Katies reaction to another date, but Katie didnt even have a second of doubt as she whole heartedly agreed to the date the night before.  Even though they werent going to the salon this morning, Heather still got Katie up early and fed her a very warm breakfast.  After her bath, Heather began preparing Katies outfit for the day and she hoped that her young daughter would accept the new outfit.  Making sure there were no surprises, Heather laid out her outfit as well.  Katie got out of her bath and went into her room to find a rather embarrassing shock.  Their on her bed were two matching dresses with one obviously made for her and another made for mother.  She looked at the dresses and then to her mother as she began to have fear about this afternoon.  Thankfully, Heather brought Katie to her lap and sat her down to explain the situation.

Sweetheart, you know your mother loves you and would do nothing to embarrass her little princess.  I was out shopping this week when I found these dresses and I immediately thought of my little angel.  Wont we look so cute together wearing them on our outing today?  And I need your help with Billy and David.  Remember all the fun you had with him?  Well, if we can get the meanness out of him then you can have fun with him all the time.  And dont you think they will be super jealous of seeing two beautiful ladies in these dresses.  What do you say?  Do you want to play dress up with your mother?

With a kiss on the cheek as the final cherry on top, Katie could not help herself as her finger felt the dress material.  If the Princess Belle shirt and skirt made her feel so good last weekend, what was the harm in wearing these dresses?  Plus, she really did like Billy when he was playing with her instead of being a stupid little boy.  Maybe he could change and they could become friends as Katie would really like that.  With a nod of her head, Katie stepped into the soft blue cotton panties that were then pulled up her legs.  A lacy slip was pulled over her head that ended around her knees.  Unlike a womanly slip, this slip was specifically designed for little girls with no breasts, but would help her new dress lay and flow properly.

The dress was then lowered over her small frame as it ended past her slip and was zipped up behind by her mother.  The dress had a blue and white checkered pattern throughout the entire garment except for the bright red sash that separated the bodice from the skirt and the red wave piping around the round collar and sleeves.  A pair of socks that was pulled halfway up her shins, a pair of black flats and a pair of small white kid gloves completed her outfit.  Heather then led her daughter to the mirror as she began brushing her hair.  Telling her how beautiful and sophisticated she looked, Katie began to blush and beam at the image in the mirror.  Quickly enough, Heather had fluffed out her bangs and had created a small ponytail that was tied with a small red ribbon at the back of her head.  Giving her a big kiss on the cheek, Heather told Katie to go watch some television as it was Heathers turn to get dressed.

When Heather appeared sometime later, there were some obvious differences between the two girls.  Instead of flats, Heather was wearing a pair of black heels.  Instead of white socks, Heather was wearing tan pantyhose that stayed up on her thighs.  Heather also had on a pair of drop pearl earrings and her hair had a slight curl to it that then fell behind her.  Her face was slightly made up with a hint of ruby red lipstick.  She was also carrying a black clutch purse, but the biggest difference would be Heathers bosom pressing against the fabric of the dress.  Katie looked down to notice that she was completely flat while Heather had a very prominent bust line hiding underneath her dress.  With a final look in the mirror, Heather and Katie went to meet up with Billy and David at the movie theatre.

Looking at her and then looking at her mother, Katies fear went away as she was now beaming with pride.  She truly felt like she was very pretty and she was very happy to be dressed exactly like her mother.  No one in the world had a mother like hers and she wouldnt trade her for the world.  It wasnt the perfect situation, but Katie loved every moment of being Heathers daughter.  And if she could add two more members to their growing family, she would do it in a heartbeat.  As they pulled into the parking lot and walked to the front, Katie almost stopped in her tracks as the gloved hand of her mother only kept her moving forward.  There in the front of the theatre stood David and Billy, but they looked much different than the last time she saw them.

David was the one now waiting for the two girls to show up as he held onto Billys hand waiting for his vision of beauty to finally reappear.  When they finally showed their beautiful faces, David wanted to explode in excitement as he walked towards the ladies.  Besides showing up early, David and Billy looked completely different than the last time they saw them.  David was clean cut, shaven and dressed much better.  He had on a white buttoned down collared shirt, a pair of tan slacks and a nice pair of brown loafers.  He was walking with more confidence and a sense of pride when he saw the most beautiful woman in the world with her daughter.  This time around, David led Billy by the hand and he was not running ahead.  He seemed much quieter and less boisterous than before.  He also changed the most as Katie could hardly believe her eyes when he stood in front of her.

Gone was the Spider Man shirt, the black jean shorts and the ruffled hair.  He had gotten a hair cut as it was now much shorter and styled properly.  He was wearing a white collared shirt underneath a light blue argyle sweater vest.  The vest had large white diamonds in the traditional argyle pattern all around it as the collar and short sleeves were not covered by the vest.  A pair of blue pants that looked pressed and almost pristine white shoes finished off his outfit.  He looked like a little gentlemen as both Katie and Heather were very impressed with his transformation.  The advice that Heather had given David had paid off as it became clearly obvious in his change in behavior.  Unlike last time, after saying their greetings, Billy was the first to speak up in the small group.  You look very nice today, Katie.

Katies blush returned for a whole new reason as she shyly mumbled a thank you to the nice young man.  David echoed the sentiment as his eyes did not leave Heather in that beautiful dress of hers.  Heather blushed as well as the two groups went towards the theatre.  Heather had specifically chosen this theatre as it was not a mainstream theatre and would show a different selection.  They would show more artistic movies along with classics that had been out for decades.  During the weekend, they tried to attract families by showing more family appropriate faire.  As they were looking at the show times, it was Katie who spoke to the entire group first.  Mother!  Sleeping Beauty is starting soon.  Can we please see that?

Do we have to see a silly princess movie?  Billy still spoke of his disgust of the situation, but his tone and words were chosen better than the last time.  Heather picked up on the change in his behavior as a positive step.  Billy was already making progress in just a short amount of time.  She also didnt want to discourage Katie who was a bit crestfallen at Billys comments.  Katie was quickly becoming her little princess and comments like that could destroy all the hard work that she had put into Katie.  So, Heather eased the situation by patting Katies shoulder with a warm and very loving smile.  Since Billy was a little know-it-all, Heather used her sweet tone along with a little mockery as she spoke to the young lad.

Silly princess movie?  I hardly think so, young man.  Sleeping Beauty does have a princess, but it has much more than that.  It also has a terribly scary sorceress, a giant dragon that fights with our hero and a brave hero that fights through everything to rescue our princess.  It really is quite scary and I dont know if you can handle it.

Billy gave his predictable defiant response and they were soon together in the theatre waiting for the movie to start.  Heather and David sat in the middle with the young children sitting on either side of them.  Katie and Davids little feat hung off the largely cushioned seats that were bigger than a normal theatre and much more comfortable.  Katie giggled to herself as she recalled Billy getting all excited for the movie while in the lobby and that nothing could scare him and that he was exactly like the brave prince.  By the time the movie started, Billy was bursting with excitement while David had fallen deeper for the young woman.  The way she controlled his son was magical and he knew that he was ready.

As the lights dimmed and the beautiful orchestra played on the old Disney movie, Heather felt a strong hand encircle hers and slowly intertwine their fingers together.  Heather looked up to David as they both looked at each other for a few moments before Heather squeezed her hand gently with Davids.  She couldnt figure out when exactly her heart started beating again, but it was soon racing out of her chest along with goose bumps flying off of her skin.  Heather tried to concentrate on the film, but all she could see was their hands molded together on the armrest and how proud she felt at that very moment.

The children were caught up in the movie as they laughed several times at the antics of the fairies and the woodland creatures.  Katie loved watching Aurora dance and sing along with her beautiful blonde hair that now looked like Katies.  Billy was mesmerized and slightly terrified of Maleficent and how intimidating she looked.  His eyes widened when he saw Prince Phillip escape from the castle and go after the Sorceress.  His little feet skidded up underneath him when he saw her transform into the large dragon and fight off the Prince.  With fire everywhere, an intense battle and a rising orchestral score, each of the parents felt a little child against their shoulder.

Heathers other hand rubbed Katies back as she said everything would be alright.  Katie had buried her head against the side of her mother as she could only peak at the screen in front of her.  David had a knowing smirk as Billy was doing the exact same thing on the other side.  Taking a moment to bond with his son, David shielded his son from the screen by laying his strong arm across him.  Both Katie and David felt instantly better at their parents sign of affection as they tried to preserve through the scary part of the film.

But, in just a matter of moments, Prince Phillip threw his sword into the large dragon and had vanquished the Sorceress once and for all.  Billy almost jumped out of his seat in excitement at seeing the Prince win the battle.  Heather could sense Katie tear up at Prince Phillip kissing Aurora to awake her from her deep slumber.  The credits soon followed as the lights were soon turned on and the young family exited the theatre.

The two children were excitedly retelling the entire movie to each other as they told their favorite parts and acted out several scenes.  Even though both Katie and Billy said that they never got scared, David and Heather knew better as they both looked at each other.  Katie talked about Aurora and how pretty she was along with having a beautiful voice.  With a quite resignation, Billy even admitted that she was pretty.  The excitement of the children let the parents continue holding hands as they excited the theatre together.  Several eyes went to the couple that looked overdressed to be attending a movie, but David smiled proudly and paid no attention to the other patrons.

Once outside, the two parents finally entangled their hands before David leaned in and gave Heather a gentle kiss on her cheek.  Each person said goodbye to one another as they went to their separate cars.  Each felt like they were walking on top of the world.  The children were still talking about the movie while the parents were relishing in their growing love towards another.

Chapter 5

Heather couldnt ignore her little Katie this time, but she did make sure to give Kathryn her space.  She wouldnt help her with every little task, but her presence was more obvious in the apartment than the last week.  Heather treated Kathryn like a normal roommate as she would ask her about her day and make small talk throughout the week.  By now, Heather cared too much about Katie to completely ignore her, but she also didnt want to push the issue any further.  She was afraid that Kathryn would snap back and destroy all the progress she had built so far.

The first day was a bit of a shock as Kathryn saw Heather that very morning.  She was expecting the warm and loving embrace of her mother, but she got a rather tepid reaction instead.  Kathryn then knew that she had to go back to her normal life and went about her normal week.  However, the nagging sadness was growing larger and could not be denied as easy.  Near the end of the week, she felt cold and alone as she continued struggling at her work.  After changing out of her clothes when she got home, Kathryn saw Heather making a dinner for herself.  Swallowing any pride she felt, Katie went up to her mother as she hugged her leg and looked up to the much taller woman.  What are you making, Mother?

Heather wanted to burst from her seams as she looked down at her little daughter.  Yes, she still looked like a boring grown up, but she knew that this was a giant step for her.  So, with a kiss on her head, Heather explained that she was making dinner as she quickly doubled the recipe for her little daughter.

Katie wasnt the only one going through changes during the week.  During Heathers traditional trip to the hospital to give David his lunch, Heathers sparkling blue eyes moved away from his for a very rare time.  She made a small comment about how professional some of the other doctors looked which made David feel like he was two inches tall.  David was dressed almost exactly like an intern in his old scrubs and knew that he had to do something about his appearance.

The very next day, David appeared to work in a very nice pair of slacks and a brand new polo shirt.  Heather smiled at David as her hands brushed his new set of clothing.  She was smoothing out some of the creases, but it gave a great excuse for her hands to touch Davids strong body and show that she really cared about his new appearance.  Heather wasnt the only one to notice his new appearance that week.  One of the elder doctors approached him with a question about a case and invited David to help him out.  David was so overjoyed and it was all thanks to Heather.

He also exclaimed the wondrous progress that Billy was making at home.  Ever since seeing Sleeping Beauty, he has asked for more Disney movies about rescuing princesses.  So, that week, David would stop off at the video store and pick up a new Disney movie for them to watch.  He started off with a more traditional little boy film like the ˜Lion King, then moved a mixture of the two with ˜Aladdin and then tried something different with ˜Beauty and the Beast.  And much like before, Billy would say that he could handle the scary parts, but his words always failed him as he would snuggle up against his father during the more thrilling scenes.  He really loved ˜Aladdin, but David could tell that ˜Beauty and the Beast was his favorite as that is the only movie that they have seen a second time.

Heather smiled to herself that Billy liked ˜Beauty and the Best the best especially considering Katie wore a Belle shirt on their first date.  She could see a connection between the two young children, but she knew it was completely innocent.  Billy was much too young to have any romantic feelings towards Katie.  However, an older brother sense of pride, a platonic love and a burgeoning new friendship was definitely burning between the two of them.

It was also during one of these lunch talks that Heather gleaned more information about David and his ex wife.  It was when she began working long hours in the law firm that their relationship began to fall apart.  She knew that she had to be completely opposite in that regard, but she pried a small bit of information from David as well.  In Davids office, he had a lot of historical medical pictures and equipment displayed for others to see.  He also made mention of older films he liked along with doing very well in his history classes while in school.  Heather began to wonder if she could use this for her advantage as she did her shopping this week in preparation for the weekend.

Once again, the parents planned a play date between them and the children.  But, this time, David wanted to spend more time with Heather than just a few short hours.  Heather then came up with the suggestion of meeting up at a public library in the afternoon.  She knew that the library offered story time that would interest the children while they could go alone to look at the many books.  They agreed on a time and place as they both went home with the good news.

Both Katie and Billy were rather ecstatic with the news of the date and could not wait for the weekend to come.  Heather knew that this date was incredibly important to the dynamic of the family as it could move them closer to her dream.  With her new information about Davids love of history, Heather took a rather big risk in choosing hers and Katies outfit.  She just hoped and prayed that Katie and David would like the choices that she made.

The first critic would be Katie as Heather had been preparing that entire morning for her date.  Stepping out of her room, she asked Katie what she thought of her dress.  Heather was wearing a white halter dress with a multi-flowered print of whites, red, pink and green leaves.  The cut was modest and just showed a peak of her ample cleavage.  The halter around her neck was a bit large and held the dress up along with the tight zipper in the back.  There was a large purple belt tied extremely tight around her pulled waist that was just above the protruding skirt that was held out by a swishing petticoat.  A pair of opaque stockings and white heels completed her look.  Her makeup was very gentle and her hair had been pulled up on her head in top bun with a small purple flower pinned to the side.  Heather looked at Katie with some trepidation, but the sweet little girl hugged her mother tightly around the skirt.  You look beautiful, Mother!

Thank you, sweetheart.  And now it is time to make my little princess beautiful as well.  But dont worry, Katie, I dont have a matching dress for you as you are much too young to wear a halter dress.  Heather smiled down to her daughter and patted her gently as she led her back to her room.  Katie wanted to blush at Heathers comments about being too young, but Katie couldnt deny the truth.  Katie could never wear a dress like that as Heathers bosom was bursting at the seams in the confines of the dress.  But, that actually didnt matter to her as she had felt beautiful in her mothers choices of clothing and was ready to play dress up once again.

Katie stepped into the satin soft pink panties and let her mother pull up the bright white stockings that were pulled firm against the top of her panties.  A lacy white camisole and a very small petticoat that ended at her knees completed her underwear as she was now ready for her dress.  The short-sleeved dress was a beautiful satin pink color that seemed to shimmer in the light and felt ecstatic to the touch.  As Heather zipped up the back of the dress, Katie looked in the mirror to see the front.  A large lime green sash went around the entire dress that separated the bodice from the skirt.  The sash had a large lime green bow in the front along with a dusty colored rose that was extremely prominent.  A lattice pattern at the bottom of the dress gave a small peek at her petticoat for the viewer.  A pair of glistening white shoes was strapped into place with one buckle and a white headband with a soft pink rose attached to its side was slid onto her hair.  Heather brushed out its short length as Katie looked at herself in the full length mirror.  I look beautiful too, Mother!

Pulling up to the librarys parking lot, Heather held Katies hand as they walked into the large lobby.  There in the corner of the lobby stood David and Billy as they both looked at the two woman with mouths wide open.  David fully believed that he was looking at an old movie starlet when he saw Heather.  The full skirt, tight waist and feminine appearance cause his heart to beat out of his chest as his blood flowed throughout his veins.  He desperately wanted to run up to her and sweep her off her feet.  He also knew that it would be literally impossible for him to keep his hands to himself this afternoon.  On the other hand, Billy was now certain that Katie was a real life princess.  Moving towards the young ladies, each gentleman complimented the young ladies as four cheeks turned a soft pink color.

However, the gentlemen werent the only ones impressed with their dates.  David was now wearing a dark blue polo shirt, pressed tan pants, a new leather belt, dark socks and glistening leather shoes.  When he took Heathers hand, she was very proud to be standing next to him.  Billy, on the other hand looked very appropriate for the occasion.  He had on a blue polo shirt with a small picture of a sailboat on the left breast.  His shirt was tucked into a pair of pressed white shorts that ended above his knees and were held in place by a small belt.  White socks were pulled a little above his shins and white dress shoes were the perfect accessories as he grabbed Katies hand as they followed their parents into the library.

The four overly dressed people got some strange looks from the people inside the library as the other patrons were mostly seniors, students studying for exams and other families.  However, their looks only lasted a moment or two and it were thought of that they had just come from an important church service.  The library was only slightly crowded as David led the makeshift family to an appropriate section.  Both Heather and Katie were wondering where they were being led to until Heather saw what David had in mind.

In the very corner of the library were rows of small multi-colored plastic chairs.  A large wooden stool towered over the small chairs that already had some small children sitting on them.  A matronly old woman moved past the young couple and sat on the stool in front of the children.  She smiled at the exquisitely dressed couple as she spoke in the sweetest of voices.  You are just in time as it is now story time.  All the children sitting on their chairs smiled and clapped as they were excited to be read a story.

David led the two young children to two seats right next to each as Heather bent down to speak in a pitch perfect motherly tone to both of them.  Now, I want you to sit here and listen closely to the story.  We will be right back and we expect to find you in these chairs when we return.  If the two of you behave properly, we will help you pick out a book to bring home.  Does that sound like fun?  Both children were a little embarrassed as they could feel some small eyes look at both of them.  They felt like they were too old for this type of behavior, but that all soon disappeared when the librarian pulled out a book entitled ˜Where The Wild Things Are.  Within a matter of moments, Billy and Katie were on an adventure to a far away land filled with monsters that their imagination had never dreamt of.

Smiling sweetly to their children, David and Heather quickly left the childrens section and walked around the library.  David led Heather by the hand, but she pointed out the History section as she was certain it piqued both of their interests.  With the children preoccupied the young couple began acting like a young couple.  They could hardly keep their hands off one another as they poked, smiled, winked and giggled quietly in the large stacks.  They were mostly alone besides a few people looking for books on History reports that were due in the coming weeks.  David stopped for a moment as he found an incredibly interesting book on military history and began reading it to himself.

With David preoccupied, Heather went a few shelves over as she walked the empty aisles.  She looked for anybody else near her as she stopped near a section dedicated to the 1950s.  With a coy smile, she first began flipping through pages that had to deal with fashion of the time.  With each page, she was gaining new ideas of what she could wear to impress David.  However, it was a much more antiquated book that soon caught her eye.  It was a guidebook on how to be a good housewife printed in the mid 1950s.  Heather was incredibly nervous and embarrassed to pick up the book, but she soon began to devour the information before her.  Most of these rules seemed completely impractical and would never work in a modern society, but each word seemed to etch them in her mind.  She was afraid of how true the guide seemed to fit her situation and what it would entail.  It looked so difficult to accomplish like an impossible task or a far away dream.

David came up behind her as he only briefly caught the reading material before she hid the book away from him.  However, it was just enough information to entice David even more.  In his eyes, he was absolutely certain that there was nobody as perfect as Heather.  While most women would be disgusted by this section, Heather was reading every little bit she could.  As she turned around to face him, this new information was too much for David to handle.  Grabbing her hand, David moved in and pressed his lips gently against Heathers before the kiss became more pressing.

Heather wanted to squeal in girlish glee as she parted her lips and accepted his kiss.  Holding his firm body close to his, the two of them held their lovely kiss for as long as they could.  As their lips parted, Heather felt time itself slowly move forward as she was certain it had stopped for their perfect moment.  Her lipstick had a little print on Davids lips as her pale skin turned a soft pink color from the kiss.  There were no words that could be said between them, but they both knew that they had just shared something incredibly special.  After checking his watch, David noted that they should probably check on their children.

The librarian was wrapping up another one of her stories when the two parents found Katie and Billy still sitting on their seats.  However, they were now on the edge of them as the librarian read the finally line to them.  The little audience applauded before most of the children ran from their seats.  Billy and Katie didnt notice their parents however they were the only two that stayed seated as the librarian left the young family alone.  David was the one that spoke to get the childrens attention who then recounted the stories they just heard.  After listening to them go on and on, each parent took their childs hand and led them to the childrens book section.

Each child was allowed to pick out a book of their own as the parents carefully watched the two children.  However, their eyes led back to each other as they both sneaked a few quick kisses between the two of them.  Heather was as happy as a school girl and David felt like he was ten feet tall.  They had both found their perfect partner as nobody else in the world mattered at all to them.  After a while, the parents noticed the children were having trouble with their selections, so they helped them get some appropriate books for them.

David picked out books for Billy, but he wasnt interested in any of them.  David then found ˜The Little Engine That Could and Billy instantly loved it.  He loved the color blue and the picture of the train reminded Billy of him.  On the other end, Heather had found a copy of ˜Madeline that had interested Katie.  David then checked out all the books as he gave the books back to their respective owners.

Outside their library, Billy and Katie continued talking to each other about their stories and their new books.  However, their words were slightly interrupted when their eyes went up to see their respective parents kissing behind them.  Billy and Katie looked to each other in shock and in wonderment at the future that was being created around them.  They were being pulled together as a family, but fear and doubt crept into their little minds.  Finally saying goodbye to one another, the two parents and children went their separate ways as heavy thoughts began to weigh on all of their minds.

Chapter 6

Like any young child, Billy had a million questions to ask his father as they drove home from the library.  David smiled at his son and calmly explained the entire situation as he quelled any fears that the young man might have.  David explained that he really liked Heather and loved spending time with her.  He told Billy that he hoped things could go further and that hed love them to be a family together.  Billys smile was as wide as possible at the thought of Heather being his mother and even gaining Katie as a sister.  Billy said that he really liked hanging out with Katie and would love for her to be her sister.

Katie was the one who probably had the most fear as she felt the situation was happening too quickly without any of her control.  Once again, she became really quiet throughout the week, but this was her own doing and not done by Heather.  This time, Heather was the one that reached out to Kathryn as she tried to lure her little daughter back to her.  Heather began cooking her warm meals and watching children programming after work.  It was the smell of one those meals that got Katie out of her bedroom and to open up with her feelings.

Heather explained the situation and what Katie must be feeling at the moment.  Heather told Katie that this could be the opportunity she had been waiting for.  Her childhood and parents were robbed from her, but she now had the opportunity to relive it and experience it all over again.  However, this time it would be with a family that truly loved and cared for her.  All the difficulties of life and adulthood would vanish and she could become the little girl that the world saw her as.

Katie didnt know what to do as tears fell from her eyes while hugging her Mother tightly.  Did she really want a second childhood?  Did she really want to forsake her adulthood to become a little girl once again?  With confusion on her face, Heather smiled down to her daughter and told her to follow her heart.  It was when she got home from work soon after that she had made her decision.  Kathryn had disappeared forever and Katie was now Heathers daughter.

Heather truly felt like a mother now as Katie was now her daughter until the end of time.  With Katie secure, it was time to work on the others in her equation.  Heather began showing up at the hospital in more vintage dresses that caused David to hardly keep his hands off of her.  She recalled one lunch break that was mostly spent in his office as they continued a heavy kissing session.  She made sure it didnt go any further as she refused to fall into a trap as she was close to the finish.  She had to create unique ways to keep David enticed, but to also keep him at bay during the particular heavy moments.

An ingenious idea happened when she spotted a doctors coat hanging behind his door.  Heather asked about the coat and David said he used to wear it all the time while he worked here, but that he stopped when his marriage began falling apart.  With a devious smile on her face, David grabbed the coat and put David into the garment as she stepped back to look at him.  Telling him how handsome he looked, Heather gave him one of the deepest kisses she could muster.  The increased affection worked on the young doctor as he began wearing his white coat whenever he walked into the office.  Forgoing the polo shirt, he now began wearing long sleeved buttoned down shirts as they just went better with the coat in Heathers eyes.

While out shopping one afternoon, Heather began to push her luck and see how far David was willing to go for her.  She had found the most beautiful evening dress that she knew would have David fall deeper for her.  Planning an idea in her mind, she bought the dress and a little surprise for both David and Billy.  The next day, she appeared at Davids office with a gift wrapped present for David and even one for Billy.  David opened up the box to find a beautiful silk tie that matched his dark eyes.  Heather used the tie as a jumping off point for her suggestion of the growing family to go out to a nice restaurant this weekend.  She also hinted that she found the most beautiful evening dress as the deal was sealed with a deep and tender kiss.

Because they were meeting for dinner, preparation time began much later than normal.  Even though Katie was her full time daughter, Heather was afraid of her reaction to the new dress she bought her this past week.  However, the past few days had gone so well for the Mother and Daughter as Katie had the same beaming feeling all week long instead of just once during the weekends.  Katie said she wanted to look pretty tonight and was ready for the big dinner that night.

After her bath, Katie stepped into a white panty with just the smallest hint of lace on the rear end.  Katie blushed at herself when a near matching camisole was pulled down her little frame.  The trepidation returned as Heather pulled out Katies dress from its garment bag.  The dress was sleeveless in a pink color with large white polka dots.  The pink and white polka dot pattern stopped near the top as it made it appear to look like a rounded white collar.  The same was true for the bottom of the dress as a large white hemline ended the garment.  A white sash separated the bodice from the skirt with a large white bow in the back and a slightly smaller white bow was sewn to the front.

Heathers fears were quickly dispersed as Katie took the dress and modeled it for herself in front of the mirror.  With a trembling hand, she undid the zipper until it stopped at the large bow in the back and then Heather helped her into the dress.  She slipped her arms into the dress holes as Heather zipped it up for her and fluffed out the skirt for her.  Katie went back to the mirror and did a little twirl as she watched the dress float up around her.  As she admired her appearance, Heather took advantage and sprung a little surprise on the little girl.  A pure white straw hat with a large pink ribbon on the crown that tied into a bow on the back with the edges floating off the back was then placed on her head.  The hat didnt cover up her bangs, but her long blonde hair was slightly covered as the large brim protected her.  A little white bag made from the straw material with a matching pink ribbon and bow was then handed to Katie as an accessory for her to hold.  The hat, bag and the dress gave a slightly juvenile appearance, but Katie felt like an elegant young woman as she looked at herself in the mirror.  After getting her daughter into a pair of white sandals, many words of appreciation from Katie and some shooing from her mother, Katie finally left Heather alone to dress for the evening.

Much later than usual, Heather finally emerged from the bedroom in the most elegant dress she had ever worn.  The dress was a dark royal blue color with a large black belt cinch that was right underneath her bosom.  The dress was simple in design with not too many frills.  The dress covered both her shoulders that then crisscrossed down her front to give her ample coverage and the look of one continuous look of fabric throughout.  A simple black necklace with a few black beads and small black earrings completed all of her jewelry.  She wore tall black heels, dark stockings, more dramatic makeup and her hair that was sprayed into place in a dramatic look, Heather had the appearance of a movie starlet.  Admiring each other in the mirror, Katie jumped when she heard a knock on the door as Heather grabbed her dark clutch purse and opened it to reveal David and Billy on the other side.

David was now wearing his tie that Heather bought along with a black blazer, a dark gray shirt, and black pants with a black belt and black leather shoes.  He looked like a distinguish gentlemen that was about to have a heart attack when he saw Heather.  Getting close to the love of his life, Katie walked up to find Billy waiting to see Katie.  Billy now didnt feel as bad in his outfit when he saw Katie though he did hate to get dressed up.  But, seeing Katie in her polka dot dress gave Billy some relief from his new outfit that Heather had bought for him.  Billy was wearing a short sleeve button down shirt that David had buttoned every one for his son.  The shirt had red lines on the edge of the collar, the short sleeves and in the middle of the shirt.  Right above his red shorts were two pictures of two large locomotives on either side of the shirt.  His shorts were a bit pleated and folded over at the bottom as they fit above his knees.  A pair of white knee socks and some black dress shoes completed his outfit.  Both children felt a bit juvenile in their outfit, but Billy soon began telling Katie all about his book and how he really loved trains.

By the time the children were in the back of Davids luxury sedan, they had completely forgotten about their embarrassment and were talking joyfully to one another.  They were both telling each other of the books they had read and the Disney movies both of them had seen recently.  In fact, most of the trip was spent talking about ˜Beauty and the Beast which Billy had now seen three times.  That was always Katies favorite movie, so it was easy for her to relate to Billy than to any person she had met recently.  In her eyes, Billy was just like a friend and somebody who could understand her view in the world.  She also felt safe with him as he was becoming more and more protective of her.

Heather had let David choose the restaurant, so she was a bit surprised to see him pull up to an expensive Italian restaurant.  Heather was expecting a more family friendly place, but David reassured her as he had called ahead to give their reservations and to tell the staff that they were coming.  Walking into the front door, they were immediately greeted by a hostess and said that there table was waiting for them.  Leading them to a small booth in the corner, the children went in first followed by the adults as boys sat on one side and girls sat on the other.

Soon enough, a very young brunette waitress wearing a white shirt, black tie, black pants and a long white apron approached the table.  She was about to go through her normal speech when she looked up and saw the four patrons.  Her heart immediately melted as she set her pad of paper on the table and went into her back pocket to grab a cell phone.  Im so sorry to ask this, but can I get a picture of you guys?  I just have to show my friends that the most adorable looking family walked into my restaurant.  I mean, seriously, you all look like you are out of some movie or something.  The two parents chuckled to one another while the two children blushed at the waitress comments.  Each parent draped their arm around their child and held hands with one another as the waitress took the picture to show off to her friends.  Afterwards, David took charge and ordered two glasses of milk and two glasses of red wine.

While looking at the menus, David and Heather helped their children out with the names of the dishes.  Both Katie and Billy were very picky eaters and did not like any of the options available to them.  When the waitress came back with their drinks, David ordered for the entire family by asking for two plates of spaghetti and meatballs for the children while the parents got a more fanciful dinner.

Heather then seized the moment and began teaching Billy and Katie about the proper table manners.  She got them to remove their elbows from the table, which utensil was used for each dish, taught them how to properly cut their meals and even how to elegantly wear their napkin.  Heather unfolded Katies napkin and put it on her lap while David unfolded Billys and tucked it into his shirts collar to protect his nice shirt.  All of the training was put to very good use when the dishes were served and the children ate every bite without spilling a drop.  The waitress had been as impressed by the familys behavior as there had been no complaints the entire night by the other patrons that she had a small surprise for all of them.

 She soon returned with two small pieces of chocolate cake and handed them to the children.  David and Heather also received one, but they were a bit larger and Heathers looked a bit different than the others.  She turned the plate to its side to read a message of ˜I Love You that had been drizzled in chocolate next to the piece of cake.  With small tears on the side of her eyes, Heather looked up to David who nodded his head.  Heather, you are the most beautiful and amazing woman I have ever met.  You and your daughter are truly one of a kind and I love every aspect of both of you.  I hope that one day we can be a real family because I love you both from the bottom of my heart.

Katie looked up from her chocolate cake to see the message and that Heather was nearly in tears.  Between bites, Billy tried not to show his excitement at the prospects of being a real family with these two ladies.  As Katie looked down at her cake, she had to admit that she was pretty excited too.  David and Billy were now very special to her and for the first time in her life, she felt that she truly belonged to a family.  It may have been a little later than normal, but Katie finally felt a part of a loving family.

For Katie, the work week was becoming harder and harder for her to endure.  It was now a tradition for Katie to come home exhausted and spend the evening in her mothers arms.  Heather spent the time praising her daughter, holding her close and telling her how much she loved her.  Katie now only felt safe while in Heathers arms and she had to literally drag herself from her bed each morning.  Katie began complaining about her job and wished that she could spend every day with her mother.  Heather reassured her that it was only a matter of time and that she had to be patient.

Heather was saying this to Katie, but she was also saying it to herself as well.  Ever since David had professed his love for Heather, he had suddenly gotten more distant.  Heather would still visit him at work, but he had suddenly gotten very busy for her.  She smiled broadly when she saw him wearing new ties and his doctors coat every time she came to see him, but those meetings would only last moments.  He would say that he had to leave right when she came into the door, thank her for the lunch, kiss her on her lips and say that he loved her before he would disappear down the halls.  Heather began feeling incredibly stupid as he wouldnt even make time for their weekend outings together and ignored the new outfit she bought for him and Billy.  Granted, that meant more time for Katie as mother and daughter grew even closer, but Heather was beginning to feel her dream slip between her fingers.

David hated breaking Heathers heart.  He was getting busier at work thanks to his new appearance and his rejuvenated spirit, but that wasnt always the case.  Unbeknownst to Heather, David was planning a large surprise and he needed a few weeks to iron out the details.  It broke his heart that he had to tell his son that he wouldnt see Katie for a little while.  David was afraid Billy would fall back into his old ways, but instead of lashing out, he just sulked alone and spent more time with his father.

After a few miserable weeks, David was finally ready to release his surprise on his family.  That Friday when Heather entered his office, David said that he was free and that they could have lunch together.  David made sure to sidestep any questions about not seeing her and explained all of the new patients that he had at the hospital.  Right when she was about to leave, David told Heather to be prepared tomorrow morning with Katie as he had planned an entire weekend together.  Before Heather could even say a word, David said he had to go back to work and that he would see her tomorrow bright and very early.

Heather didnt know what to think as she left the hospital as it suddenly dawned on her what was happening with her relationship with David.  She thought back to the restaurant with him ordering for everybody and the surprise note of love directed towards her.  As David was getting more confidence, he was taking control away from Heather.  David was finally becoming a man in the relationship as he was even getting a bit controlling.  This was an unexpected side affect as Heather had been used to controlling everything.  Biting her lip, she realized that she liked this side of David.  Thinking back to those books that she read, it was very appropriate for a woman to follow the words of her husband.  Shamefully, Heather had to eventually relinquish control, but she couldnt help wanting David even more because of him becoming more powerful.

Heather and Katie went to bed extra early that night as they had to get up before the sun had even risen.  Katie could hardly keep her eyes opened as Heather had to bathe her and then get her ready for the day.  Katie had been too excited at the thought of seeing Billy and David again that sleep was nearly impossible.  She felt incredibly sluggish this morning as she let Heather dress her without even a word of defiance.  Katies outfit was incredibly simple as Heather had no idea what David had planned for the day.  Heather first put Katie into a pair of baggy light blue bloomers with elasticized leg holes that just reached above her knees.  Finally, a matching sleeveless light blue dress was put on her and then zipped up the back.  This dress had a traditional white rounded collar, a row of embroidered blue and white flowers in the middle of the bodice, a white line underneath it and another row of embroidered blue and white flowers at the separation point of the bodice and skirt.  A large white line near the bottom of the dress that encircled the garment was the final touch.  White socks pulled up her shins and pure white shoes were attached to her feet and completed her dressing.  Katie went to sit on the couch while Heather went to dress as she completely failed to notice that the bottom of her bloomers ended much lower than her dress and would be seen by every person.

Heather needed to make a statement to David to make up for all the times that he had ignored her.  Heather was still afraid of losing David as she slid into her foundation garments.  Heather wore a strapless soft chocolate bra, a matching full length girdle and dark stockings attached to the garters.  She then slipped into her dress that had a fine layer of black silk covering the whole dress along with being used as shoulder straps.  The dress was a chocolate brown color that looked strapless besides the black silk shoulder straps, had a black cinched band around her waist and a pattern of sparkling dark leaves throughout the entire garment.  Two strands of white pearls, pearl earrings, a dark clutch purse and dark chocolate tall heels completed her outfit.  The dress was rather poufy that was supported by some built in petticoats and flared out around her knees.  Her makeup was a bit more serious along with a small flip that she had sprayed her hair into.  Looking at herself in the mirror, she was certain that David would never forget her and he would only have eyes for her.

The moment she finished dressing, there was a soft knock on the door.  Heather nudged Katie awake as she tried to open her eyes to look at the two sharply dressed males on the other side.  Heathers heart skipped a beat as she saw the final culmination of David who was wearing a black suit, white shirt and a blazing red tie.  The two parents could not contain themselves as they kissed immediately when they saw each other.  David had never looked so handsome in his entire life to Heather while David thought Heather looked like the most beautiful girl in the world.  The small children looked up to their parents and then to each other in their sleepy eyed state.

Billy was once again embarrassed by the outfit that he was wearing, but when he saw Katie she made the fear instantly disappear.  Billy first noticed her bloomers peaking out of her dress, but he still said that she looked really pretty.  Katie looked at Billy and said that he looked very handsome in his outfit.  He was wearing a short sleeved button down white shirt that was buttoned up all the way to the collar which had a blue line around the entire collar.  The shirt was neatly tucked into a small pair of shorts that reached above his knee.  The shorts however had a pair of suspenders attached to the back that went on top of his shirts shoulders and was buttoned with large white buttons.  Pulled up white socks and white shoes completed his dressing outfit as he was looking to Katie.  She still thought that he looked very handsome as they were comparing the different shades of blue in their outfits.

The first of many surprises happened when they walked out of Heathers building to find a taxicab waiting for them.  Each parent grabbed their respective child and held them on their laps during the ride as Heather kept asking David where they were going.  David refused to say a word until they reached the airport which had caused Heathers mouth to fall open.  David said they had to hurry if they were to make their flight.  Since it was much faster, each parent held their child in their arms as they walked through the crowded airport.  With no bags, they went quickly through security until David stopped at their destination.  Heather looked up to see that they were on time for their plane that would soon be arriving at Orlando, Florida.

The children both perked up in their parents arms as David explains that they are headed to Disney World for the weekend.  Both Katie and Billy could hardly contain their excitement in their parents arms as both had never been to Disney World.  They both knew of the magical place and could not wait to step foot inside of the park.  Before that to happen, they had to take a short little plane ride as the parents began boarding the plane with the children still in their arms.  David found their four seats which was first class and right next to each other.  He allowed Heather to take the window seat with Katie sitting next to her, Billy sitting next to her and David on the end.

Once everybody was seated, a stewardess came by to check on the family.  She was a middle aged woman with a smile and a personality that could fill up the room.  Her uniform consisted of a fitted red jacket, a white pussy bow blouse in an ascot tie underneath her neck, a red straight knee length skirt, tan pantyhose and a black court heels.  Her dirty blonde hair had been tied up in a soft bun as she began helping the young family.  What a beautiful family we have here.  Now, let me help the young ones with their seatbelts as we dont want them moving around during the flight.  Precious little ones like these need to be safe and secure.  Yes, they do!  Now, there we go as they are all snug as bug in a rug.  I am going to check the other passengers, but I promise that I am going to be back and check on you adorable sweet things later.  Have a nice flight!  Both Billy and Katie were rather embarrassed at the stewardess especially as her expert hands did their seat belts for them while the parents managed on their own.  However, the slight embarrassment could not overshadow the excitement of going to Disney World as they both began saying all that they wanted to do and see.

After some incredibly long minutes, the captain spoke to the passengers and the plane was soon moving on the runway.  The initial shock caused a jolt in Katie and Billy as they had never been on a plane before and both were getting a little nervous.  When the plane reached the runway and began gaining speed, Heather and David each grabbed a childs hand and told them that they were perfectly safe.  Each moment the parents tried to reassure the children that everything would be okay and that they would soon be at Disney World.  The flight was going completely normal, but Katie and Billy were getting more and more nervous.  It was when the plane left the land that it became too much for the young children.  They watched the ground slowly disappear and felt the floating of the plane that pushed them over the edge.

Katie was the first to start crying and soon Billy followed afterwards.  The cries were not wails, but tears of fear as they shoved their faces into their parents.  Heather and David muffled most of the cries and tears to avoid offending any passengers as several eyes turned to see the young children crying in the seats near them.  Thankfully, the plane reached cruising altitude and the stewardess from before was true to her word.  Babies, there is nothing to fear.  Everything is safe and we will be landing soon.  Here, I brought you some apple juice for you both to sip on.  Drink up for me and everything will be fine, I promise.  The young ones were both fed the apple juice as their tears tried to subside.

For a while, Heather and David rubbed their children and held them tightly in their seats.  Heather smoothes Katies hair and kisses her head while David rubs Billys back and whispers closely to him as they try to calm down their small children.  Eventually, the soothing works and the childrens tears stop falling.  Instead of crying however, the childrens breathing becomes a bit slower as each one falls into a gentle sleep.  The mixture of getting little sleep last night and the excitement of this morning were too much for their little bodies to handle as they went into a gentle nap.  The stewardess came by once again as she spoke to the parents in a gentle whisper as they thanked her for her help.  As the children slept, David and Heather whispered quietly to each other as David explained that they were only heading to Disney World for the weekend and a return flight home the next evening.  Heather suddenly felt like a movie star as she had never been whisked away for a weekend getaway.  A nervous apprehension came over her as she wondered what exactly David had planned for the weekend.

The next thing the children knew was the feeling of the ground moving underneath them.  Their respective parents had let them sleep throughout the entire flight and carried them to the shuttle from the airport to the park.  They had woken them up just in time to see the entrance to the most magical place on Earth.  Both Katie and Billy got over their tiredness rather quickly as they kneeled on their seats to look out the window.  Their eyes went as large as saucers as they saw Cinderellas castle.  The parents pointed out all the sights and attractions as the shuttled stopped at the entrance to the park.

The rest of the morning and the beginning of the afternoon were spent walking around the Magic Kingdom.  Because they didnt have much time, David shied them away from any attractions with extremely long lines.  Plus, his next surprise was about to happen rather soon and they had to be ready for it.  After meeting their favorite characters and seeing most of the sights, David led them over to a particular spot in the park.  By this time, all four family members were pretty tired.  Unlike most patrons who were wearing rather simple shoes, sandals, shorts and shirts, the young family was dressed almost inappropriately.  David was hot underneath his suit jacket and tie while Heathers toes were screaming in pain.  Heather wanted to ask to sit down for just a moment, but no words could come to her lips as she meekly followed along.  Both of their arms were tired as Billy and Katie switched between being carried and walking along with them.

The early summer heat brought a little fear to each parent.  They made sure to have a rather big lunch and that Billy and Katie always had a water bottle on hand.  Heather had lost track of how many Katie had drank by the time David had reached his destination.  It was the perfect reprieve from the summer heat and their tired bodies as they would be spending the next few hours sitting in air conditioning.  David stopped his family in front of a new attraction entitled ˜Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  This has been opened up recently to capture the burgeoning Princess market and offered makeovers at differently priced packages.  David smiled and bent down to speak his children.  Do you guys want to take a little break?  In here, we can play dress up like our favorite characters and even get our picture taken.  What do you say?  Both Katie and Billy were hot and tired, so they were ready for a rest.  With a nod of excitement, David went to pay for the premium package when a sudden surprise caught everybody but him off guard.

This was the biggest of surprises as his eyes went to Heathers for her reaction.  After the transaction, a sudden jolt of celebration came from the boutique.  Balloons were let out into the sky, a small cannon shot confetti into the sky as it rained down on the young family, a trio of musicians appeared to blare their trumpets in a triumphant march and the workers came out to celebrate and dance around their new customers.  After all of the commotion and fanfare, an older gentleman appeared in a suit and said that they had won the grand prize.  They were the one millionth customers to the boutique and were given a chance of a lifetime.  All four of them would be given a full makeover and would then ride on a float in the parade that closed each day at the Magic Kingdom.  All of this would be free of charge as a way of a celebration and a thank you to all the patrons at the Magic Kingdom.

Heather was in a state of shock as the fanfare died down and the onlookers left the winners alone.  She looked to David in disbelief and then in wonderment as if he had anything to say about the turn of events in which he just gave an innocent shrug of his shoulders.  Lost in the shuffle and the loud commotion of the celebration was Billy and Katie who were now holding hands and a little scared at the sudden noise.  David and Heather turned to look at their children and noticed a new occurrence that had happened during the commotion.  The shock of the news and the loud noise had caught both Billy and Katie in a moment of fear and all of the water that they had drunk had finally caught up them.  A very large wet spot had appeared on Billys shorts which were matched by one on Katies bloomers underneath her dress.  The children did not even notice until they looked down to see what their parents were staring at.

Small tears escaped their eyes as their parents held them close and told them that it was okay.  It was a rather embarrassing situation to be standing in wet pants in front of all these people, so a worker came by and led them deep into the boutique.  The gentle old lady led them into a private room to sit on some chairs.  She was an elderly woman who was the manager on duty of the boutique.  She was wearing the uniform which consisted of a light blue dress, a white short-sleeve blouse with frilled lace on the sleeves and collar and a name tag that said ˜Beverly.  She let the family alone as the children calmed down and stopped crying.

After a few minutes, Billy and Katie were calm again as they stared at the wet spots on their clothing.  Heather didnt know what they would do as that was the only clothes they brought with them.  Billy felt incredibly embarrassed, but Katie did even more as they wondered what had happened.  Looking at each other, they at least didnt feel alone as they couldnt speak a word to one another.  David didnt want this in his surprise as he hoped that his rouse hadnt been blown over.  Walking out of the room, he found Beverly talking to a man in a suit about the situation.

After a few more minutes, David appeared with Beverly and the man in the suit.  Beverly smiled down at the children and went to sit with the two young ones.  She had plenty of grandchildren, so her part of playing a fairy godmother was an easy transition for her job.  David smiled and went to sit with Heather as the lawyer began to explain the situation.  First of all, let me congratulate all of you on winning our contest.  You are very lucky people and the Disney family could not have picked a better winner than this charming couple with such lovely young children.  We are prepared to offer you all the winnings that you deserve with one small exception.  See, the costumes made here can easily be purchased by the patrons.  However, as winners, you four would be allowed to wear costumes of our performers while on the float at the end of the evening.  Those are finely made and would cost thousands of dollars if damaged.  So, we as a company would like some protection in case another accident occurs.  We ask that your children be fitted with some diapers for our own protection.  If not, then we could still do the makeover like a normal paying customer, but the float ride would be off the table.  I will give you a few moments to decide.  The lawyer and Beverly left the family to decide.

Im too old to wear diapers!  Both Billy and Katie exclaimed their case at the thought of wearing such a babyish garment.  They had been embarrassed enough as it is and how more embarrassing it would be to have to wear diapers.  They had solid arguments, but it was hard for them to be perfectly sound as they both had large wet spots on their clothing.  Heather then calmly and quietly explained that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and that nobody would know they were wearing diapers except for them.  It would just be their little secret and she promised nobody would make fun of them at all.  Billy then quietly asked about the float and how the parade would go.  Katie then wondered if they could be any character that they wanted.  Beverly was brought back into the room and answered all of the questions the children might have.  With her knowledge of children, she knew exactly what to say and how to get them excited for their new experience.  David then disappeared to talk to the lawyer as another worker appeared with two packages of pampers.

One package had Disney Princesses on it and was pink while another blue and had Disney Princes on it.  Handing a Pamper to Billy and Katie, David asked for their final decision on the matter.  Looking to each other and giving a final nod, the children didnt want to miss this opportunity as they agreed to wear the diapers.  Beverly squealed in delight and promised the parents that she would take good care of their children.  She explained that David and Heather had to go get changed as well.  With a final kiss and hug to their children, David and Heather left their children with the elderly woman as they went to get prepared in their costumes.

Billy and Katie chose Belle and the Beast from ˜Beauty and the Beast as their characters of choice.  After being stripped down of their clothes, Beverly expertly sprayed a little bit of baby powder on them and taped the diapers tightly around their little form.  Telling them to stand up, she said that they both looked adorable and that nobody would notice the diapers on them.  Both Billy and Katie could not remember the last time they wore diapers as the crunchy material made a strange sound every time they moved.  Feeling the strange material, they felt happy that they were doing this together as assistants started bringing in their costumes for the evening.  Not to spoil the surprise, all four family members were led to different full sized changing rooms.  Once finished, they would all be allowed to see each other for the first time in their new costumes.

Billy was led to a different room where another woman was there to help him.  She was not as old as Beverly, but her winning smile and sweet demeanor quickly won over the scared young boy.  David was first put into a very old looking shirt that he had never seen before.  The white shirt buttoned up the front and was long sleeved with a little frill of ruffles on the end of the sleeves.  A white cravat was fluffed out and pinned down with a bright blue pin on the middle of his shirt that hid most of the buttons.  A tan vest was put on his chest that started exactly at the cravat and ended at the bottom of his was then buttoned into place.  A pair of black shorts came up his legs and fitted snuggly over his diaper and ended tightly past his knees.  His trousers were pulled up just for a moment so that a pair of pure white stockings that stopped at his knees could be pulled on as the trousers were then set back into a place.  Black shoes with a large gold buckle were strapped into place on his feet.  The most important item was next which consisted of a bright blue jacket that had gold buttons, gold lapels and gold trimming was slid onto his body.  The sleeves of the jacket ended before the ruffle of his shirt as that was pulled out and fluffed around his wrist.  A very tiny blue ribbon was tied into his short hair and he was then shipped off to the dramatic makeup department for the float.  Billy took a moment to look at him in the mirror as he was amazed at the transformation.  Puffing out his chest like the Beast does, Billy felt like he was Beast in the mirror and was ready to take on the world.

Beverly had been helping Katie with her Belle outfit that had many layers to it.  A glistening pair of white stockings was pulled up her legs and settled over her diapers.  Three heavy petticoats of precious lace were tied around her waist as they had some weight to them and moved in unison to every movement that Katie made.  The famous gold dress was slid onto her small frame as it settled gently on top of the petticoats.  It was an off the shoulder affair that had several bands going around her shoulders in a bright gold color, a dark gold bodice was pulled tightly around her small body and a bright gold tiered skirt with a dark gold band going around the middle of the dress.  Very tight dark gold colored opera length gloves were pulled past her elbows, her hair was pulled into a small bun of a gold band as the rest floated down to her shoulders and gold earrings completed her transformation into Belle.  Katie saw herself and wondered if it was somebody else in the mirror.  Beverly tried to shoo her off to get her makeup done, but Katie was too mesmerized to even move.  Katie was Belle and she was the most beautiful girl in the world.

Davids transformation was pretty simple, but he spent most of his time talking to the lawyer.  Yes, all of this was an expensive surprise that he hoped would create a memory that would last a lifetime.  Heather didnt know yet, but David began changing into his Prince Charming outfit.  David first put on the red pants with the large gold line up the side followed by the pair of black shoes for his feet.  Finally, a white tunic with a gold belt at his waist and gold princely markings on his shoulders was slid onto his large frame.  A simple pair of white gloves was given to him and he had the opportunity to give a nod of approval to his appearance.  Heather had made him the happiest man on Earth and it was now his turn to return the favor.

As Heather was shipped off to her private changing room, her fear began to grow at what was about to happen to her.  Her baby was by herself and she felt that her true love had been behind this the entire time.  However, all of that disappeared when an attendant came in with the sparkling Cinderella dress.  Heather was about to break into tears as the attendants began helping her with her dress.  They reassured that all of their clothes would be cleaned and waiting for them in their hotel room when they were finished.  Heather was cinched into an incredibly tight corset as they cinched her waist to fit into the gown.  Feeling the corset take her breath away, she was announced to be the perfect size.  Heather lost count of how many petticoats were pulled over her and tied to her corseted waist.  All she knew was that the outfit was getting heavy and the rustling of the skirts was getting louder and louder.  Finally, the sparkling blue dress was lifted above her and floated down her body.  The gown had a modest almost ˜u cut that only enhanced her bosom, small shoulder straps that puffed above her shoulders in a bright white satin material, a small white over skirt that laid at the edge of her bodice settled over the sparkling blue skirt of the gown.  White gloves that almost reached her shoulders, a black choker was placed around her neck, sparkling blue earrings were placed on her ears and the final touch was the glass slippers being placed on her feet completed the magical outfit.  She was then given her dramatic makeup and a sparkling blue headband that went from earring to earring separated her golden hair that was piled on top of her head in the back and fluffed out in the front.  Her ruby red lips smiled at the reflection in the mirror as Heather truly looked like Cinderella.  In fact, one of the attendants said she looked better than the real Cinderella.

All at once the family got to see one another and they were all amazed at the transformations.  Katie twirled in her dress, Billy stood like he was ten feet tall, David was debonair in his princely manner and Heather looked like a princess.  Each family member took their turns showing off their outfit and how wonderful each one looked.  This process could have gone on all night, but Beverly told them they had to go into the Boutique for pictures to be taken.  Several photos of the family and the staff were taken to celebrate the momentous occasion before they were led out into the park.  The sun had fallen, so it was much cooler and easier for the family to walk in their outfits.  Countless number of patrons pointed to the family and many wanted to get pictures taken with them, but they were on a schedule and were soon in a staging area for the parade.

The manager of the parade directed them to the last float.  They were all given sports together and told to stand there while waving to the crowd.  After some long and excruciating moments, the parade finally started as the family watched each float move in front of them.  Finally, theres had begun and they started waving at the other patrons.  Each member smiled for pictures as multiple flashbulbs covered the night sky.  It was under moon light, but all of the stars and flashes made the night twinkle.  Little children were so excited to see them as they smiled and waved to every single person they saw.  Fireworks were shot above Cinderellas castle as the occasion marked the end of the day at Disney World.

Suddenly, the float stopped with a little jolt as they watched the other floats disappear into the night.  Stopping in front of Cinderellas castle, a man with a microphone walked up the float and explained that tonight was a very special night in the Magic Kingdom.  The man handed the microphone to David and led the two children just off to the side.  Heathers eyes grew wider by the moment as David grabbed her hand and took one knee in front of her.  Heather, you may have figured out by now, but this was a little ploy by me.  I wanted to give you the most magical night in the world because you are the most magical woman in the world.  You saved me from utter despair.  You turned my son become a young gentleman.  Your daughter is the most amazing princess I have ever met.  I love you with all my heart and I cannot wait a day longer to do this.  Heather, will you marry me?

Heathers shaking hands went to cover her mouth as David fell to his knee.  All of her dreams were coming true as she listened to his wonderful words.  Heather was shaking and felt like the world had stopped just for her.  With sparkling eyes because of the tears, Heather nodded her head and spoke the words that David longed to hear.  Yes!  Yes, I will marry you!  David arose and grabbed Heather in a tight hug followed by a deep kiss.  The man let go of the children, took the microphone and let the family alone as Billy and Katie came running to hug their parents.  With a roar of applause from the crowd and several new fireworks, the incredibly magical night at Disney World finally ended on the happiest of notes.

David and Heather carried half sleeping children into their hotel room.  After the float ride, they had changed out of their costumes, given some cover-ups and led back to their hotel room.  Like promised, their old clothes had been cleaned and were ready to be worn the next day.  Setting the children down on one of the two king sized beds, Heather saw a bouquet of red roses and a small velvet box on the desk.  In the matter of moments, it was official as Heather looked down at her engagement ring that looked extravagant and vintage.  On the other bed, a large bag of clothing that David had secretly brought down was waiting for them along with the opened package of diapers with a note from the staff that they were theirs just in case.

David and Heather both went to the sleeping children and found another surprise.  Both of them had wet their diapers again.  With a reminder to talk about this in the morning, David and Heather both diapered their children as they put them into their pajamas.  Billy was put into a cotton baby blue footed sleeper that had a row of buttons all along the front.  The sleeper fitted perfectly over the new diaper and he was put under the blankets on the large bed as he was now deeply asleep.  Katie was put into a baby pink nightgown.  The nightgown covered her entire body in the same baby pink color.  It had a ruffled collar that tickled her neck, a band of white lace around her front that had a small pink bow in the middle of it, long sleeves with pink ruffles and two layers of pink ruffles at the hemline of the nightgown.  Putting her under the covers of the other bed, David and Heather went to get ready for bed themselves.

After kissing and talking about their future plans now that they were engaged, David and Heather were now ready for bed.  David wore a simple pair of pajamas that were a dark blue color with a set pants and a long sleeve shirt that had large buttons on them.  After taking a few moments, Heather emerged from the bathroom in a nightgown and peignoir set.  The nightgown was floor length and was a mixture of white lace and a blue color.  The straps, bodice and skirt were a mixture of white and blue lace.  An all blue skirt covered the white and blue lace.  A peignoir of the same material was long sleeved that ended in frilled cuffs, ended past her knees and a large lacey collar that was tied together in a blue satin ribbon.  David and Heather went to snuggle close to one another on the offered couch as they continued talking and kissing.  Mostly the future of their lives, how to explain this to their children and the sudden wetting situation became topics of conversation.  Heather made sure that it never went farther than kissing as they soon were growing tired as well and went to sleep in the beds of their respective children.

The next morning, David had gotten up first and brought a tray of food for the family to the eat.  The intoxicating aroma slowly awoke all of them as they were rubbing the sleep from their lives.  Not even noticing the diapers, Billy and Katie began eating breakfast along with their parents.  While eating, David explained what their engagement meant to the new family.  Eventually, Heather and Katie would come to live with David and Billy as they would be a full time family.  Katie was usually quiet as she wondered about the situation.  Billy however was excited for a new mommy and for a baby sister.  This time, Heather went to Billy and David went to Katie as they sat next to their new child.  After some more talking, Billy said that he loved his new mother and Katie loved her new father.

It now became the uncomfortable but very necessary part of their conversation.  David and Heather checked their childrens diapers to find them wet once again.  Once was an accident, but three times seemed too much to ignore.  The parents agreed to go to the doctors once they got home, but that they should use the provided diapers until then.  Billy and Katie wanted to protest, but as they felt the cold and clammy diapers between their legs, they knew they couldnt put up much of a fight.  Gentle tears of apology and sweet consoling followed as they told the children that everything would be okay and that they loved them no matter what.

David then explained that their flight left early that night and that they could check out anytime that day.  He explained that he didnt have any more tickets to the park which wasnt a big deal as the entire family was exhausted from the previous day.  Katie got up from her bed to look out the window and noticed the rather large pool underneath them.  Father, can we go swimming instead?  With a warm smile from Heather, an enthusiastic exclamation from Billy and a proud smile from David, he said that they could and that theyd better get changed.  Between their bag and the gift shop, four swimsuits were found and changed into.  Thankfully, the gift shop had swim diapers ready for sale and David returned with a package of plain ones.  Billy and Katie were still embarrassed about the situation, but at least they had somebody in the same boat as them.  After they were put into their swim diapers, the boys went to the bathroom to change while the girls used the bedroom.

David slipped into a black pair of trunks that went to the middle of his thigh.  He then helped Billy into his suit which was a bit more complex.  The swim suit had shoulder straps and arm holes that were lined in a dark blue color.  A red and white stripped pattern with a large anchor made up the top half of the swimsuit.  The second half which started at the top of his diaper was dark blue and had legs that did not even go past his diaper.  Looking at himself in the mirror, Billy was completely embarrassed as his diaper was now fully prominent and shown for the world to see.  David told him that everything would be fine and Katie would be similarly dressed.  Reminding his son that he needed to appear strong in front of his new baby sister, Billy put on a strong face and went out of the bathroom with his dad when the girls were ready.

Katie had the same feeling as Billy and felt completely relieved when he stepped out of the bathroom.  She was wearing a white and pink stripped one piece swimsuit.  The suit had two small shoulder straps and a picture of three strawberries across her chest that gave the top a look of a tank top.  When the swimsuit met her diaper though, a small white and pink stripped skirt with a frill of white on the edge finished her swimsuit.  She was also wearing white sandals with three layers of differently colored boys at the front.  Katie ran up next to Billy and smiled to him as she noticed his swim diaper underneath his swimsuit.  Billy smiled as well and felt much better about his appearance as his fathers words rang true in his head.

Behind Katie stood Heather who was wearing a red one piece swim suit with a halter top.  The suit offered full protection with only the top of her ample cleavage showing and just a little skirt that went passed the stretchy material that hugged her nether region.  Making sure to pick a very large sun hat in the gift shop, David and Heather held hands with one another and their two children as they went to the pool.

Since most people go to Disney World to see the actual parks, the hotel pool was less crowded than normal.  The pool had two giant divining boards besides an incredibly deep pool, a longer pool for those that wanted to do laps and a large pool where people could play in.  David and Heather found two spots near the shallow end and told the children to play where they could see them.  Billy looked at the high dives not in curiosity, but in fear of the high altitude.  Before Billy could even pondering going up them, Katie led him by hand and the two children played in the shallowest part of the pool.

The warm summer sun had returned and the cool water felt very refreshing against the skin of the young children.  Eventually, the parents even joined them as the happy family played in the cool water.  It was a picture perfect day with a picture perfect family.  Katie finally found the love she was looking for.  Billy found the stability that put an end to his rough house nature.  David found the wife and family he wanted.  And Heather found the perfect family she dreamed of all along.  However, a nagging bit on her brain wondered about the future and their wedding.  She wondered if the slide would continue all the way down the rabbit hole that they were now following.  Only time would tell as fear, excitement and joy gripped her mind.

Chapter 8

That Monday morning, Heather awoke to a very quiet apartment.  Sneaking into Katies bedroom, she noticed the little girl was still asleep and was running way behind her morning routine.  In fact, Heather found that her alarm hadnt even been set.  With a look of worry, Heather pulled back the covers of the sleeping girl and felt the undeniable cold wetness of her diaper.  Shaking her head in worry, Heather pulled the covers tightly against her baby and let her sleep the morning away.

Heather calls up Katies boss as she explains to him that she is Katies mother and that she is currently not feeling well.  The boss understands to a point, but when Heather says they need to go to the hospital later and that this might take a long while, an agreement is made between the adults.  Katie will be mailed a small severance package and that he hoped that she would get better soon.  After hanging up the phone, Heather wondered about Katies reaction to the news of her being jobless.  Considering all the pain and suffering the job was causing her recently, Heather hoped Katie would be relieved at the thought of not going to work anymore.

Katie awoke sometime later to the feeling of a wet diaper.  Emerging from her room with tears in her eyes, she went to her mother and snuggled closely with the warm figure.  Heather explained the situation and they had an appointment later on today with a doctor.  She also explained about her job which didnt even faze Katie for a second.  She could not leave her mothers side and going into work would be impossible for the young girl.

Unfortunately, the doctors visit did not provide any significant answers.  The doctor couldnt figure out what was going on with Katie as her body appeared completely normal.  All the tests came back negative and that she appeared to be a completely healthy girl.  The doctors only suggestion is that maybe Katie is regressing back to a better time in her life.  The doctor said a therapist might help her in the situation, but it was also a long shot.  His best advice was to just be patient and hopeful that Katie will outgrow this phase.  Until that day happens, Heather should continue treating her like a child that she is becoming.

Katie was obviously distraught by the news as she wanted to cry even more in her mothers arms.  She felt like her body was betraying her when she did nothing wrong.  Unable to stop her wetting, Heather and Katie had no choice but to continue with the diaper treatment.  Katie hoped that the problem would fix itself eventually as Heather wondered if she did something to hurt her baby.  Making sure to pick up some extra diapers on the way home, Heather became more attached to her angel.  She made sure the little one never left her sight as she became even more a doting mother to Katie.

David got a little surprise the next day when both Heather and Katie showed up at his office for lunch.  Heather explained about yesterday and why she called off their lunch date.  When Katie saw David, she got fussy in her mothers arms and went to her new father.  David easily picked up the diapered child and held her throughout his entire lunch time.  Heather explained the doctors visit as a knowing look came across Davids face.  He then explained that Billy got the same news.  He was distraught, but he was also becoming clingier whenever he comes home in the evening.

As the parents discussed the troubling news of their children, Heather then explains that it might become more difficult to see David during the week.  With Katies condition, she couldnt exactly leave her alone and that she had to quit her job because she couldnt afford a nanny.  David understood the situation as the once calm Nanny was now in way over her head.  David then got a wild idea as he was looking at his nervous fianc that now wore his engagement ring.  While holding Katie, he pulled out one of his many hardly used credit cards.  Sliding it to Heather, he told her to take it and use it whenever needed.  He also asked for Heather to check on Billy whenever possible.

Heather looked at the credit card in disbelief.  David explained that they would be married soon, so what was the harm in her using it.  In fact, he then mentioned that when they were married, Heather wouldnt even need a credit card as she could just use Davids.  Eventually, she slides the credit card into her purse and left with Katie in her arms.   Heather didnt know what possessed her, but she drove from the hospital to her bank and immediately closed all of hers and Katies accounts.

Heather didnt realize what she was doing until she was walking out with a small stack of bills.  Shaking her head free of the emptiness, Heather looked at the money and then to Katie in the seat next to her.  The diamond engagement ring seemed to sparkle even more as she realized the force of what just happened to her.  She now did not have a credit line of her own and would be under Davids for as long as they were married.  She was losing a sense of her identity as she was now just becoming Davids future wife.  By the time she used the credit card to pick up some supplies, she had been added to Davids account and was given free range.

All of Heathers activities were becoming a bit harder with a needy child with her at all times.  Everywhere she went; Katie was always with her and needed either to be carried or to hold her hand while she toddled along.  One of her breaks was when Heather went to Davids house to have Billy and Katie play with one another.  Seeing his house for the first time was a jaw dropping experience at this giant house that was far away from the city.  However, the house seemed even larger mostly because of all the empty rooms and little furniture.  David had never bought the items that his ex took in the divorce, so they were living in the necessities and the furniture for Billy.  Heather met the nanny who was happy to meet Davids fianc.  After some pleasantries, she had to leave early and left Heather alone with the children.

When David came home that evening, a warm smile came across his face as two little children ran up to hug him and a soon to be wife kissed him on his lips.  David thought he could get used to this situation as the children went back to playing and Heather asked him about his day.  Before she and Katie left for the evening, Heather explained that she was behind in her shopping because of carrying Katie around everywhere she went.  David then suggested that to help her out they should go to the mall this weekend for their family outing.  Both children agreed and the date was soon set.

Even though Heather was getting more tired by the day, she was up early and got ready for their outing to the mall.  Heather wore a full support bra, a waist cincher and a long legged girdle all in satin white as her undergarments.  She was dressed in a classic white dress with blue polka dots, cap sleeves and a very modest round collar.  A sash was pulled around her waist and tied into a large inverted bow on the front right underneath her bosom.  The dress had a perfect bell shaped skirt that Heather used many petticoats to support and float around past her knees.  White strappy sandals with a large heel were put on her feet and the final touch was a strand of large white pearls was connected around her neck.  Touching up her hair and makeup, she went into Katies room and got her ready for the outing.

Changing her diapers first, Heather had to buy a bit thicker diaper to protect Katie from leaks.  Katie didnt seem to mind as the thicker diapers gave her more protection and she hated the feeling of being wet.  After the new diaper was placed on her, a pair of navy blue plastic panties with white ruffles on the seat was tucked into place and she now ready for her dress.  The dress was an affair of navy blue and white that had short capped sleeves with white trim and a small white collar.  A hand embroidered daisy pattern accents the bodice right before the navy blue skirt starts.  A solid white hemline finished the dress as it slid into place.  Heather then buttoned the dress up the back and tied the large navy blue bow as it fluffed out behind her.  As a little surprise, Heather pulled out a white straw hat that had navy blue trim on the edge and a large navy blue sash tied around the crown in a large bow with streamers hanging off the back.  Katie was reminded of her previous pink hat of the similar style.  Navy blue and white sandals were strapped on her just as she heard a loud knock on their door.

David was wearing a gray suit with a white shirt and a bright yellow tie.  The lightly colored suit went well with the daytime sun as he kissed his fiance at the sight of her dress.  Billy ran into the apartment and went to see Katie as fast as he could.  Billy had on a bright yellow and white shortall set.  The bright yellow outer shortall had large yellow buttons on his shoulders and reached barely past the bulge of his diapers on his upper thighs.  Heather could see small snaps around the crotch which made it quite easy for changing.  Underneath the shortall, Billy wore a bright white with a yellow trim collared shirt.  The collar hung over the shoulder straps and was actually buttoned up the back.  Yellow and white sandals were put on his feet as he bounded into the apartment looking for his little sister.

After their compliments, the new family went to Davids waiting car and headed towards the mall where they ran into each other on that fateful day.  Billy and Katie were no longer embarrassed about their outfits as they were more interested in one another.  David kept looking at Heather in her dress and was beyond ecstatic to have her as his soon to be wife.  She was the perfect picture of what he was looking for in a wife and a mother.  In matter of moments, they arrived at the mall as each parent grabbed a childs hand as they walked into the entrance.

When they walked through the sliding doors, Heather noticed some unused strollers offered to parents that bring young children shopping.  Considering how tired her arms felt throughout the entire week, Heather thought it would be a good idea to just bite the bullet right now and not have to worry about the annoyance of carrying the children.  Pointing them out to David, he nodded his head and agreed with her suggestion.

Billy and Katie were both picked up and set into separate strollers.  The stroller looked like a little car that even had a little steering wheel for them to play with.  Their padded bottoms were pressed into the firm seat as their little legs did not even touch the floor.  Finding shoulder and waist straps, they were soon buckled in as they both looked a little worried at the situation.  Now, we need to do some shopping today and this is going to be easier than carrying both of you.  I have two surprises for you, but you will get one of them if you are good throughout the entire day.  So, no complaining, no whining and no fussing as we walk through the mall together and you will get your surprise.  Billy and Katie looked at each other and both promised to be good while at the mall today.  Since their top half could only be seen because of the car, they were both happy to have their diapered condition shielded for the day.  Pretty soon, the children were rolling through the mall as the parents pushed them swiftly.

The mall was slightly crowded because of the weekend and the young family got the same strange looks from the normal customers.  However, they had learned to ignore the other people around them and just focused on themselves instead.  Heather knew that the children needed a little diversion while shopping, so their first surprise was going to be given to them right away.  After a few moments of searching, they finally found the store as David unstrapped the children and set them on their feet once again.  Billy and Katie looked up to see that they had stopped at the ˜Build A Bear Workshop.

A young worker came to greet the family as both Billy and Katie were allowed to make their own teddy bear for them to play with for the afternoon.  The parents stayed back and let their children make all of the decisions of what kind of bear they wanted to make.  Katie came back with an all white bear that had a large pink bow around its neck and was wearing a sparkling pink dress.  Billy had decided on a dark brown bear with a baby blue bow around its neck and was wearing a generic soccer uniform.  The children hugged their bears tightly and were now very content to be wheeled around the mall while Heather and David did some shopping.

After walking through the entire mall and finally finishing their shopping, David and Heather were ready to leave.  However, Heather made sure to fulfill her promise as they had one last stop before they left the mall.  Both Billy and Katie hadnt said a word and they both deserved their surprise.  At the corner of the mall, they stopped in front of a designated play area that already had several children running around inside of it.  Heather and David stopped in front and went to pull Billy and Katie out of their strollers when the children suddenly began shaking their heads.  Babies, whats wrong?  Since you were such sweet angels, we were going to let you play around for a little bit.  Dont you want to play?  The kids continued refusing their surprise in a rather strange turn of events.  Sneakily, David checked his sons diaper and knew instantly what had happened.  Whispering to his soon to be wife, the two adults made a quick stop at the bathrooms for a quick change of their wet diapers.

With fresh diapers, the two children practically ran out of the bathroom and straight into the play area.  The two of them then proceeded to slide down the small slides and play on the small obstacles as Heather and David watched with warm smiles on their faces.  Both parents were getting worried about their childrens digression, but as they saw the happiness on their faces, it was hard to call it a problem.  They were the happiest of children and had the two most loving parents in the world.

Chapter 9

Heather began spending most of her time over at Davids house.  After a few days, Heather tried to stay away from his place, but Katie soon began getting fussy and wanted to go see Billy.  Since the nanny wasnt getting paid to watch Katie, she would disappear the moment Heather showed up with Katie.  So, if Heather needed to get anything done, she would have to do it with two children always with her.  That is how things just started falling apart and important tasks never got finished.

After waking up in her apartment, she noticed that her phone no longer worked because she had forgotten to pay the phone bill.  A stack of mail that went untouched clearly showed a notification that she had just missed.  David told her that she wouldnt need her own phone after they were married so there was no point of getting another one.  Heather tried to argue, but no words could come to her lips.  She needed her phone as a way of independence, but that seemed to be disappearing as the weeks went by.

With Heather being constantly busy and watching over both children, something near and dear to her disappeared as she just couldnt see David at the hospital any longer.  David understood the situation as he explained how busy he was again.  He had recently gotten a small promotion and was back to working away from his desk.  He was saddened not to see Heather everyday for lunch, but he was seeing her all the time at his home anyway.  In fact, Heather would come over early in the morning and leave after David would come home.  The only time Heather and Katie stayed in their apartment was for sleeping.

It felt strange to be there as they waited to be picked up for their next outing.  Heather came up with a suggestion of taking the children to an indoor play area that would give them ample time to catch up on all they had missed.  The children could play in a safe environment and the parents could talk amongst themselves while keeping an eye on them.  Plus, Heather was rather tired and could use a day off of her feet.

Even though she was extremely tired and sore, Heather could not seem to rest for very long.  Getting up early, Heather had to be absolutely perfect for her day out as she dressed herself in the mirror.  Wearing a deep red strapless bra, waist cincher and girdle that had glistening white stockings attached to them, Heather went to the closet and pulled out her new dress.  The dress was red with white polka dots that had a large halter top and a large white belt cinched tightly around her shrinking waist.  Tall white heels were put on her stocking feet as she fixed her hair and makeup.  Her hair was heavily parted to one side as she pinned a large white lily on the other side of her head.

Going into Katies bedroom, Heather awoke the sleeping child and made sure to change her used diaper.  Both Billy and Katie were wetting and messing more frequently, so she decided on an outfit that would help in that ordeal.  Katie was then dressed in a pink and white gingham bubble.  The small shoulder straps had little gingham ruffles that protected the sides of her shoulders, had an embroidered bodice that had pictures of five small watermelons and had a two tiered skirt that stopped above the leg holes of the snapped crotch.  A matching sun hat that had a little bow on the front and matching gingham ruffles all along its side was then tied with a small bow under her chin.  Katie was then dressed in some simple sandals as the bubble did nothing to hide her diapered condition along with offering no protection to her legs.  Katie no longer cared though as she bounded to the door when she heard the loud knock on the other side.

David was once again dressed in a dark suit with a dark red tie.  Billy appeared behind David and went to Katie as he was also wearing a bubble.  The bubble was all white except for some baby blue trim on the small sleeves and the pointed color.  An embroidered pattern around the bodice along with three crowns was in the same baby blue color.  Heather noticed the snapped crotch and that the bubble buttoned up the back.  A pair of white and baby blue sandals was also put on his feet.  Making sure everybody got a good look of one another; the family left and went to the play area.

The family reached the play area as the place was crawling with children and parents.  David paid for the two children as Heather removed their shoes.  Taking the shoes with them, Heather and David found two empty seats as they watched the two children play together.  At first, Billy noticed a group of older boys who looked oddly familiar playing near a large slide.  However, the steps seemed so much bigger than him and the slide scared him to death, so his eyes went back to Katie.

The play area had designated areas for children of all ages.  The older ones had larger areas with bigger attractions.  Billy and Katie went off to the side and found a rather small ball pit to play in.  This area was for the youngest of children as all of the equipment was softly padded and very tiny.  The two children found some young children playing and after some initial fears, they began to play with one another.

Heather and David held hands throughout the entire time at the play area.  They catch up on missed topics of conversation as Heather explains what was happening at home and with her apartment.  Her lease was expiring rather soon and David told her that she and Katie would then move in with him that day.  Heather wondered if things were moving too quickly, but David explained that the decision had been made and that no more discussions needed to have about the topic.

Heather then explained that since they were engaged, they needed to think about their wedding.  David said that he had already begun the plans and that she would just need to fill in the details.  He wanted this to happen in the summer and had already arranged for them to get married at the end of summer.  He explained that since this was both their second wedding that it didnt need to be so extravagant.  However, he still wanted a simple and elegant church wedding as he didnt have that last time.  Any other topics of conversation Heather would bring up, David either had an answer for or it had already been decided.  David kept reassuring Heather that all she need to worry about was the children, herself and her soon to be husband.

Heather was now officially getting scared about her life.  Everybody around her was falling deeper and deeper as there was nothing she could do about it.  And whats worse is that everybody was feeling much happier than ever before.  After listening to David, Heather felt a weight be lifted off of her shoulders and her mind gets less cluttered.  She wrapped her hands around his arm as she snuggled closely to the love of her life.  She didnt know exactly what was wrong, but she was certain that she could do nothing to stop it.  David was getting more controlling and decisive with his decisions as Heather just went along with whatever her fianc told her to do.  Katie and Billy were becoming more like little babies as Heather was now forced to take care of both of them.  Heather kept thinking to herself that this was the dream she wanted.

Chapter 10

Heather began to forget what her old apartment looked like.  Besides removing some items and bringing some personal items to Davids house, she was now living there full time.  All of their lives were kind of in flux at the moment as the girls moved from one apartment to a large house.  David had insisted that Heather use her credit card and to help out in the decorating.  The empty house seemed so cold that she had to add some things to spruce up the empty rooms.  David had rejected bring most of her old furniture over and insisted on selling most of it.  However, it would still take a little while for the new furniture and items to be delivered to their house.

Billy and Katie were incredibly happy to be able to live together as they spent their days playing with all of Billys toys.  Heather had bought some toys for Heather to play with and they would soon be arriving after this transitional period.  David was also happy to have Heather at home as it was incredible to see her when he woke up and see her when he came home from work in the evening.  David wanted to set some ground rules to how the house should be run, but he wasnt going to push that issue until Heather and Katie had finally settled into their new house.  He was just happy to have Heather all to himself and trapped away in this large house.

Heather felt like she was losing her bearings as she was being pulled in one hundred different directions.  Some new person was always showing up at the house as there were decorators, handymen and even wedding planners.  She felt like pulling all of her hair out and just want to start screaming, but she couldnt muster an ounce of emotion.  Calmly smiling and immaculately dressed, Heather kept her straight face and prayed she would keep everything under control.

David kept reassuring her that everything would be fine and that it would only be crazy for just a little while.  Pretty soon they would be married, a true family and that they could begin to settle into their normal lives.  That part feared and excited Heather as she was looking forward to a nice break and a little calmer in her life.  She was moving closer to her ultimate dream even though a large part of her was still terrified.  However, the ball had started rolling and she had decided to go along for the ride.  During this hectic phase, one minor detail did slip through the cracks.

One morning, Heather awoke in her large bedroom to find David asleep next to her with the alarm been turned off.  Heather had at least insisted that they should wait until they were married before finally having sex.  David was obviously disappointed, but he realized the wedding was a month away and he could handle himself until then.  Heather remembered her vow and something one of the housewife manuals said about being chaise for their husband.  However, that still did not deter the young couple from sharing a bed together as David insisted on sleeping next to his wife to be.  Heathers stirring had caused Davit to awake with a warm smile on her face.  Pulling his angel into bed with him, Heather asked why he was still in bed at this hour.

David let out a hearty laugh and patted his soon to be wife on her head as he explained that he had the day off.  David wondered how flighty Heather had become lately and was glad to have him as her security.  She was forgetting so many things that forgetting a national holiday seemed almost inconceivable.  David then explained that today was the Fourth of July and he had been given the day off.

After telling Heather that they were going to the park to see the fireworks and to make a picnic dinner, David turned to his side and went back asleep for a short while.  Heather had completely lost track of time and was amazed that she could miss such an important date.  Before she could even think about what else she missed, two soft cries came from the childrens bedroom and she was soon doing her daily duties.  After feeding the children their breakfast and bathing them, Heather began to dress Billy and Katie for todays special day.

Katie watched as Billy was the first one to be dressed.  He was taped into his normal diaper and given a pair of plastic pants to protect his outfit for the day.  David was then buttoned into a red and white striped romper.  The romper buttoned up the back and had a small collar with blue edging to it.  Across the bodice were five embroidered firecrackers over a large white border.  White socks and red sandals completed his outfit as he was now ready to play for the rest of the day.  Heather settled down her son and told him that she still needed to get Katie dressed as well.

Katie was then taped into a diaper as well, but she was then put into a pair of red and white checkered bloomers that had elastic cuffs that fit around her thighs.  A white smocked dress was then buttoned up her back as the bottom of the dress hung high above the bottoms of the bloomers.  The dress had very short white sleeves that ended in the red and white checkered motif.  Embroidery of three American flags went around the collar of the dress.  The majority of the dress was white, but it ended in a large hemline of the red and white checkered pattern that gave the dress an almost seamless look as it matched the bloomers perfectly.  Matching sandals and socks were put on her feet and the children went off to play for the day.

Heather was finally given some free time, but her mind refused to let her rest for even a second.  Going against her tired body, Heather went to bathe for the day and then get dressed for the day.  Heather spent an exuberant amount of time getting ready for the day as she suddenly longed for the days of simply putting on a pair of clothes and walking out the door.  Heather put on a pointed bra, a fully cut panty and a small girdle all in the glistening white color.  She then put on her dress for the day which was a sleeveless red and white checkered pattern.  Compared to her daughter, Heathers checkered pattern was much larger and spaced apart while Katies was smaller and right next to each other.  Little ruffles jetted out of the shoulder straps, three rows of ruffles went across her bodice as the dress had a square cut neckline, a patent leather belt was cinched tightly around her small waist and the dress ended past her knees as she fluffed it out with a small petticoat.  She slid into a pair of large black heels, put on her makeup with full red lips, a little blush and perfectly arched eyebrows, one earring in each ear of a red ball dangled gently against her cheek and a large red barrette was placed in her perfectly coiffed hair.  Making sure everything was perfectly in place; Heather went downstairs to check on the children and began preparing their picnic dinner for the fireworks display.

Later on in the day, David appeared in a light suit with a red tie as he kissed his fiance square on the lips.  Heather had just finished preparing the picnic as they led the children out to their car for the evenings festivities.  David carried the basket for his wife, but Heather kept it firmly on her lap while her husband drove to a very familiar park.  Heather was getting flashbacks to their first date as they pulled into the very same parking lot.  The park was much more crowded now as people were now preparing for the fireworks display that the city was about to provide.  David carried the whicker picnic basket in one hand and his sons hand in the other.  Billy held tightly to Katies hand and Heather held tightly to her hand as the happy family walked along the path to an open spot.

The overly dressed and matching family got some strange looks, but the large crowd easily forgot that they existed.  David found a large open area near the playground as he set out the blanket for his family to sit on.  Billy quickly asked if they could go play on the playground for a little while as they were so close and could still be seen by the parents.  With a small warning from David, Billy grabbed Katies hand and they quickly went to the very crowded playground.  Billy and Katie got the same familiar feeling that Heather got when they looked up to the large and intimidating playground.  The slides seemed like they were hundreds of feet into the air and the looks on the childrens faces seemed completely uninviting.  Katie whimpered and held tightly to her brothers hand as the multiple children looked at the two young children in a rather peculiar way.  Billy led his sister closer to their parents as he saw a much more inviting playground.  This one was much smaller in size and was dominated by a large sand pit that had children playing in at the moment.  Instead of running around at full speed, Billy and Katie waddled through the small playground as they carefully used each attraction.  Pretty soon, the two of them were at the sandbox and playing with the other smaller children.

While the children played, Heather began to prepare the picnic meal.  She began to set the blanket up with all of the sandwiches and fruit that she had brought from them.  David had laid back and began talking to her while she worked to prepare his meal.  He felt that she had been too forgetful lately, so he went over some of the important points and changes that were occurring in their lives rather soon.  He was mentioning them moving in together, the new furniture being delivered and the wedding preparations.  Heather listened and nodded along as she prepared the meal for her family.  When the meal was ready, Heather called out to her children as they came running to eat the dinner that was provided for them.

Davids portions were obviously much larger than anybody else.  Heather hadnt realized, but she had cut up Katies and Billys food into much smaller pieces.  The children didnt mind one bit as they hungrily dug into the small bits with their small hands.  Heather had even fixed herself a small little fruit salad as the happy family ate together.  Just as the cookies were being delivered, the night sky began to turn dark and a small squeal was heard above the large crowd.  The sudden bang surprised Billy and Katie as they went to snuggle up with their parents.  David held Billy tight in his strong arms while Heather held Katie in her lap.

As the fireworks display was gaining momentum, the children began to whimper a bit more in their parents arms.  Heather tried soothing her sweet Katie, but she suddenly felt a strong hand poke her naked arm.  She turned to see David pointing at the picnic basket and two cold bottles full of milk.  Blinking her eyes in surprise, Heather wondered when she had prepared the bottles as she handed one of them to David who began feeding it to Billy.  Katie suddenly became more scared and Heather then repeated the process.  Katie quickly grabbed the bottle and began to suckle on the milk as Heather held her tightly.  Confused about the entire situation, the entire moment seemed so ordinary that Heather was amazed it had happened so fast.  Before she even knew what had occurred around her, the display was over and each parent had a sleeping child with an empty bottle in their hands in their laps.  Heather couldnt process all of this information as she was soon in the car and headed back to home.  Hopefully, her life would slow down and she would be given more time to breathe, but she soon remembered all that David had told her and she realized that was not going to happen in the near future.  With a large fear inside of her, Heather was getting lost and confused in her own dream.
