Found in the Attic
Characters:
Brad Wilson, age 19 and Nancy Carter, age 19.
Mr. Jim Wilson, age 40 and Mrs. Sara Wilson, age 42.
Introduction:
Brad was happy to find a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home in southern Florida. Brad is 19 and managed to move out of the family home. He found a part time job as a bartender at a Marriott Hotel for tourists.
Brad only makes $8 an hour but the tips are very good. He has worked there for 1 year and saved $10,000 while still living at home. Mom and dad were worried since Brad did not go on to college. Since Brad is acting responsible dad co-signed the final document to purchase the small home.
Helping the situation is the fact that Brad inherited $20,000 from his grandparents who are still living. They live on a large farm and are quite wealthy from their orange grove and organic vegetable garden. The new home for Brad sold for only $50,000 due to a slowly recovering economy.
Brad gladly paid a $20,000 down payment since the home is furnished and only 5 years old. This meant a 20 year mortgage with a low monthly payment. The home is located on a large lot which is half an acre in size. It’s a single story home with a chain-link fence around the large yard.
The neighborhood has only 9 other homes all on large lots. Some of the homes are larger and on a full acre of land. This means no one is living on top of each other. Privacy is a priority but one can see your yard thru a chain-link fence.
Brad graduated from Ft. Myers High School with his girlfriend Nancy. Brad played sports and made good grades. Nancy was a cheerleader and honor student. They are engaged to be married in one year. The present day is October 1, 2015.
Brad is average size at 5’ 9” tall and 160 pounds. He has short black hair and is athletic looking. Nancy is smaller at 5’ 6” tall and 120 pounds. She has long blond hair and is slender and curvy. She is a very pretty and nice girl.
Chapter 1:
Brad has taken a week off of work in order to move into his new home. He started moving on Monday and has finished by Thursday which is the first of October. Nancy lives with her parents and has helped her boyfriend with the moving, unpacking, and house cleaning chores.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson rented a small truck and helped with the moving. Since the home is furnished only personal belongings of Brad had to be moved. The truck was loaded with boxes of clothing and Brads things he has saved since childhood.
Other items were moved too, like Brads 2 ten speed bicycles. He has a stereo and a computer that was moved. Being a bartender Brad dresses well. He moved a closet full of clothing including 3 piece suits.
Nancy and Sara cleaned the house again to make sure it was perfect for Brad. Jim and Brad loaded and unloaded the boxes along with clothes still on hangers. The new home does have a queen size bed and furniture in the master bedroom. The other bedroom has a double bed and a dresser.
The home is carpeted except the kitchen and bathroom. A large kitchen is fully equipped with appliances. Outside the grass is very green and there are a few large pine trees farther away from the house. A large oak tree shades the house and there are hedges and flower bushes.
“I love your new home Brad,” Nancy said, “it is like new and very clean with lovely carpet and furniture.”
“Thank you Nancy, I appreciate all of your help with the moving and cleaning,” Brad said, “my parents were a lot of help all week long.”
The main chores are about over with and only Brad and Nancy are at the home. Nancy came by and fixed a nice lunch for the two of them. Brad wants to put a few thing in the attic for storage. He was given dishes, towels, pots and pans, and other stuff that is included with the furnishings.
“Let me pull down that ladder in the garage so we can access the attic,” Brad said, “I looked up there once but never climbed the ladder to see what is there.”
“Sure honey I can hand up some boxes you wish to store,” Nancy replied.
In the garage Brad pulls down the ladder and climbs to the attic. He finds it hot but not too bad this time of year. Around the scuttle hole is a platform made for storage. The ceiling is about 4’ high in this area.
“Hey Nancy there are a couple of brown boxes all taped up in the attic,” Brad said, “I assume they must have been left by the previous owner who is a nurse.”
“Hand those down so we can check them out,” Nancy said, “then we can put your stuff in the attic.”
Brad hands down 3 boxes in good condition that are about 24” square and 24” high. They are set aside by Nancy to be looked at later. She hands Brad up his stuff for storage and he puts it neatly in place. The last boxes are Christmas stuff which he wants easy to get at later.
“That is all of your boxes honey so come on down out of the heat,” Nancy said.
“Sure sweetie I’m on my way,” Brad replied, “I want to see what was left behind.”
The 3 boxes are on the washer and dryer which is in the garage. Brad’s car is in the garage, he has a nice Chevy Malibu. Nancy’s car is in the driveway, she owns a Hyundai four door sedan.
“Look Brad two of the boxes have Drycare 24/7 with a large M after it,” Nancy pointed out. “The other has baby clothes written on the box.”
“One thing I don’t need is baby clothes,” Brad said in surprise, “let’s open one of the other boxes to see what is inside.”
Brad opens a box marked Drycare 24/7. He pulls out a package of diapers that are wrapped in plastic packages of 18 diapers each. There are three of them inside of the box. Brad is surprised by what he finds and so is Nancy.
“These are diapers but quite large,” Brad said, “these are not for babies, being so big they must be for adults.” “Darn I sure don’t need anything like this either.”
“This is making sense to me,” Nancy said, “the former owner was a nurse and these are adult diapers she left behind.”
The other box is found to contain 3 more packages of the same adult diapers. Brad is sort of embarrassed to find these in his attic. Nancy is smiling and looking at him with a grin.
“These would come in handy if you started wetting the bed Brad,” Nancy teased.
“We better take a look at what’s in the one marked baby clothes,” Brad said grabbing the third box.
He opens the box and on top is a couple zip lock bags with plastic pants inside. Brad takes 4 pairs out of one bag and they are milky white. He holds a pair up and they are not the size a baby would wear.
“These must be adult plastic pants in a size medium like the disposable diapers,” Brad comments, “the tag says Babykins on it with a M.”
“Those are adult plastic panties,” Nancy said in surprise, “not ones for babies.”
A further look shows the second zip lock bag contains 4 more pairs. Two are pink and the other two are yellow. The plastic pants have a rubber like band in the legs and waist. Brad puts all of them back in the bags and looks further.
“Here is another bag with baby powder and diaper rash cream,” Brad told Nancy.
More zip lock bags are found in the box. They are adult baby clothes not baby clothes like they thought at first. One bag contains 2 onesies that snap at the crotch in a size medium. One is white with pink elastic at the legs, arms, and neck opening which is a high rounded collar.
“Look at this onesie!” Nancy exclaims, “this one is pink with mint green trim.” “I bet these are meant for an adult baby girl after their diaper is put on.”
“Oh my gosh! The nurse must have been looking for someone to wear these,” Brad said in surprise, “that would certainly be embarrassing.”
“What else is in that box Brad?” Nancy asked, “More adult baby clothes?”
A further look finds white babyish shorts with pink hearts on one pair. The other pair is a bright pink color, both are size medium. A few t-shirts are found that are pink and yellow and look like a baby’s shirt.
“These adult baby clothes are sweet looking if you ask me,” Nancy said.
“This all seems ridiculous if you ask me,” Brad replied, “who would wear these?”
At the bottom of the box carefully wrapped in a dry cleaning bag is a dress. This dress is an adult baby girls dress, also in medium. The dress is white with red lace at the hem. It has an empire waist with a red ribbon that ties in the back. The dress is short with more red lace at the puffy sleeves and rounded neck.
“Oh my gosh!” Brad exclaimed, “Here is a pair of matching plastic panties.”
“The dress and plastic panties are very cute,” Nancy said, “these are rumba panties, white nylon over plastic with 5 rows of red ruffles on the bottom.”
“I bet you would look real cute in a diaper wearing this dress and matching rumba panties,” Nancy said looking at Brad.
“Don’t get any ideas honey,” Brad said, “I am not an adult baby boy or girl.”
Brad quickly repacks all the diapers and baby clothes into their boxes. He wants to put them back in the attic and gets Nancy to hand them up to him. Nancy wants to leave them out but does as she is asked.
“I would call the nurse I bought the house from but she moved out of state,” Brad said, “this will be kept in the attic until I decide who to give the stuff too.”
“Sure Brad, everything appears to be in excellent condition and ready to wear,” Nancy comments with a smile looking at Brad.
The boxes are put away and the attic ladder is closed. It springs up and fills up the scuttle hole. Nancy is thinking about how to get Brad dressed as a baby girl.
