Teddy Bear Funeral
My Teddy has been murdered!

I don't even know what to do. My poor heart is in shambles. I just got home from babysitting (ironic I know) to find that my friends dog snuck into my room, grabbed my Teddy Bear, appropriately named Kiss Me Bear, and ripped him to shreds. I didn't know whether to cry, throw up or both. It was truly horrified and as it only happened about twenty minutes ago as I type this, I am still in shock. It would do my heart good if somebody could please say a few words about him for me. I would be eternally grateful.

I am soo sorry for you. I don't know what I would do if that happened to my teddy. Maybe you could sew him back together?

*hugs* *hugs*

No it's far too bad for that. I would need more material and stuffing and my sewing skills aren't more capable than a simple
mend.

Hi Sabrina,
I feel sad for your dear Teddy. I know how special a Teddy is; I sleep with my Teddy every night.

I've had a similar thing happen before. The best way I coped was to get another stuffed animal. It's like losing your favorite pet, getting a new one isn't a way to replace him, it's just helping you move on and share your attention with someone who needs it. But if you really can't let go, try salvaging the eyes, and find a teddy just like this one. Replace the eyes on the new one, because everything your first teddy ever saw is still in his eyes, so he'll keep all those memories when he transitions to his new body.

Awwww the stupid dog ate the eyes!!! I did manage to save his t-shirt though and when I get a new Teddy I'm gonna give it to him.

So sorry to hear about your teddy. I have over 60 with 3 special ones that always sit of my bed (Dufus, Keiwa & Big Frankie). I would be horrified if that happened to him. I glad though that you were able to save his shirt. I wish you all the best and hope that you find a teddy that can bring you as much love as the one you lost.

Thats terrible news to have to take. I hope your teddy can be replaced and I am sure it was special to you. As a boy I liked teddy bears and even gave my very first one to my sisters first boy. I have only one small one I recieved in the mail. It was from my sister and said please enjoy the enclosed bear.

Get or ideally have a dear freind get you a new teddy and dress him (or her) and hold a tea party.

Depending upon the amount of damage your teddy bear has suffered, he may be able to be repaired. There are such things as "teddy bear hospitals" (do an online search) that can repair most anything. Usually they are used by serious collectors wanting a valuable bear restored, but they are happy to work on anything. Yes, these services tend to be very expensive, but when it's your own special bear, sometimes it's worth it.
