Well I am quite sure there has been many threads on SissyKiss on this subject, I have had a hard time finding the threads, So I decided to start my own. I was wondering what my friends on SissyKiss prefer when it comes to Diapers. Currently I have been using Depends Fitted Brief Max protection, and they are alright, but just not quite what I have had in mind. I had also ordered a sample pack from Bambino, but the diapers I received were smaller than I expected, so a note to everyone else, they seem to be about 4-6" smaller than I expected. On the other hand, after a little tape and borrowed material from a different diaper i managed to make the Bambino Diaper work and I must say, it felt like a diaper should, and defiantly much more absorbent. I plan on atleast trying the larger diaper from Bambino, but I am wondering what else is out there that is any good. Please, if you would, let me know what you like.
Thank you,
luv Sis_C

Like Sarah I make my own 60" x 60" squares from terry towelling off the bolt (150cm wide) but finish the edges with a rolled seam on an over-locker (serger).

I have several in white and pink.

I was recently gifted some Bambino disposables on a flying visit to the USA after my packed supply of Tena Slips Maxi Medium ran out. The Maxi being the 5 drops rating, for Maximum absorbency which is close to 4 litres or two large (2L) soda bottles.

See: http://www.dorset-nursing.co.uk/product.aspx?p=2989

Comparing the two, although the Bambino Classico with it's pretty vinyl ABC blocks decorative panel closely resembles a modern baby disposable and had a babyish feel that would rustle when touched.

I found the Classico medium a good margin less absorbent than the Tena Maxi I am familiar with.

That said I've bought the less absorbent Tena Super before now because they come as 84 in a case compared to 63 per case on the Maxi, for minimal difference in case price. This quantity difference gives a good indication of how much reduction in wadding there is between the two ratings.

I would say the Tena Super rates at a personal 3 or 4 full bladder drenching rating before they leak the Maxi is at 4 to 5 drenchings, where as the Bambino felt loaded to leaking point after on;y 2 heavy wettings. Perhaps that is why Bambino sell booster pads also.

All of the disposables I find leak out the back of waist elastic if I'm laying down without plastic pants over, so for night times I go with towelling in a modified kite folded to guard against those leaks with large plastic pants over for comfort and security.

So if you are buying for looks the Bambino is the one that looks contemporary, if you want maximum absorbency say for night times, and a traditional appearance then layer up in towelling.

Maybe redo the Bambino trial pack in a larger size to see if the larger Classico diapers work better for you.

Long term even with laundry costs taken into consideration, the towelling work out a far better deal money wise and if you have issues hiding things, they can be folded to look like a large white towel with plastic pants and pins hidden inside.

I guess it's all down to how wet you want to get and if you want to stay wet or change out soon after.

I think the dividing line between those who prefer disposables and those who prefer cloth diapers usually falls around age lines. Those of us old enough to have worn cloth diapers prefer them to disposables and those who were raised with disposables prefer them to cloth.

IMO, there's nothing good or bad about that, it's just who we are. :o)

Personally, I've never been able to muster much enthusiasm for disposables, perhaps because it seems too...simple...for lack of a better word.
Cloth diapers, to me, seem like they make for more of a ritual between mother and baby, in which the cloth is folded just so, and brought up to be pinned. Needless to say, you cannot wear cloth diapers without some kind of plastic pants and I prefer something other than boring white (my all time favorite is pink nursery print).

To me, being put into my diapers is the supreme moment for a baby/sissy and I want to make the most of it. As an adult sissy, nothing is more humiliating than holding my Mommy's shoulders as she tugs my pink plastic panties up my legs and over my diapers, scolding me for being so immature.

And for what it's worth, virtually all medically oriented [adult] diapers are of the disposable variety whereas cloth diapers are almost without exception, the pervue of babies.

Just my two cents....
