Baby Formula ~Anyone drink this stuff?

For all you Babies out there, wearing diapers is one thing and I'm sure most of you have tried baby food,
especially the deserts... so does any one here drink formula?
With all of the health drinks out there today, like Ensure, there's not much difference aside from taste.
I'm currently trying the Similac Advance brand, myself.
I actually FEEL smarter from drinking it!

I drink formula lots. Similac and Enfalac are the two brands we buy the most. Enfamil sometimes as well.

I want to try the stuff for older kids sometime.

I drink it all the time. Kinda hooked on it to be honest.
But its better than most drinks (unlike soda) and it gives you a boost with no crash (I havent found one yet). XD

I drink Similac, though it is high in price...

Not twenty minute before this post, I bought out the local 24 hour convience store.
Sooo good.... I agree with Funshine and Becky, I sure feel smarter.

Just curious, but do they come as a liquid or in powder form, and which is the better one to use. I once tried some sort of milk formula before, but it tasted kinda strange. though I suppose that could be explained as it was left in the house for a good while and not in the fridge >.>~ Dred Lily ^w^V

HAHA!! ... er I mean YUK! You are better off with fresh formula I am sure! Baby formula comes both premixed and as a powder or granules you mix with milk. Which is better depends on your personal tastes. There are lots of different brands. Go to a grocery store and you will find a whole section of baby items including formula. Anybody can buy some without looking suspicious. Just go to a store out of your area if you want to feel safer.

I drink formula all the time! My nanny feeds it to me, so I don't usually buy it... but I'll ask her sometime what brand she usually gives me. I remember once I tried one that was strawberry flavored, and that was really yummy!

I drink formula as every sissy baby should. I either use Aptamil or SMA. I don't really like the taste but I'm a sissy baby so I don't get a choice.http://www.sissykiss.com/pix/icons/girl4.gif

Sometimes I am fed babyfood. The fruit ones are okay, the veggie meat combos are pretty yucky, but its the vegitable only ones that are bad. Green Beans are the WORST, but squash is pretty bad.

When it comes down to baby food the BEST I've tasted and simply love
are from the HEINZ brand. Chicken & Rice and a Pasta Sauce one I really enjoyed.
For desert I always buy the Banana Cream Pie and Strawberry mixtures :)

I actually use them all the time, I use the Nestle. They taste a bit like hot chocalate when worm up. I think warm formula, about 2 bottles just before going to bed will make you pee 100% sure. They work for me perfectly. You should try it.

I have only tried banana baby food, and I really didn't like it, but it was really humiliating, I felt like such a sissy. I even got it all over my face. I haven't tried formula though, I don't have a bottle.

I like the whole bottle thing, but I am more of a juice girl. I'd get a sippy cup, but since I am still in diapers, I have to use a bottle

I also don't like milk, do they make forumla which isn't anything remotely like milk?

Yes I love it warm at night . I drink ready-to-use Emfamil formula. Tastes very close to mothers milk. Its a great way to end a day. As far as baby food some I like, but the meat and veggies is yuck . I have to eat it sometimes because my daddy thinks it funny to watch my face. Wish they made big cheerios it would be fun to put your finger though the whole.

Enfamil is in my nighttime bottle every night. At first I resisted, but after a few swats on my bare rear, I happily did what I was told. Been drinking from a bottle for a little over a year now. Sippy cup in my future soon...I hope.

Welllll as some of you are aware, Puddin' is a vegan and generally doesn't partake in many pre-prepared food items. And so I've axshually made vegan baby formula based on a few recipes at a few times; the most successful recipe I found with regards to flavor and nutrients similar to traditional formula is..umm..

1 qt. oat, rice, almond, or soy milk (ranked here by ease of digestion), heated to boiling, then cooled
1 cup organic carrot juice
1/2 cup of the strained liquid from a mixture of blended mung bean, lentil, and alfalfa sprouts
4 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. linseed oil
300 IU Calcium/Magnesium liquid
500 mg. Vitamin C powder
1 tbsp. nutritional yeast
1/2 tsp. chlorophyll liquid
100 mg. folic acid

The more complex ingredients can be found at your local chemist; but the resulting formula is very tasty and I'd wager I could probably live on it in proportional amounts to body-weight as a baby and still be quite healthy.

this sissybaby is on a strict baby food diet of SIMILAC formula and Gerbers stage 2 food, this sissy has not eaten "Grown-up" food in over 2 years
